Sweet Treats in Chinatown! 🧇✨
Chinatown just got a whole lot sweeter! Checked out Take A Brè (@take.abre) at Unit 11 Trengganu St, and tried out two of their unique waffle creations. If you are looking for your next dessert spot, here is the honest review:

What I Tried:
Salted Egg & Chicken Floss Waffles ($5.50)

The Vibe: A savory-sweet dream for adventurous eaters.

Verdict: The rich, savory salted egg sauce pairs surprisingly well with the fluffy waffles, while the chicken floss adds that essential crisp texture and umami kick. Great balance of flavors!

Pistachio Kunafa & Peanut Butter Waffles ($6.00)

The Vibe: Decadent, nutty, and trendy.

Verdict: A fusion of rich pistachio kunafa goodness and creamy peanut butter. It is definitely on the heavier side, making it the ultimate indulgence for sweet tooths.

The Verdict
Affordable, packed with unique flavor combinations, and located right in the heart of town—perfect for a post-dinner dessert run!

Went down to Maxwell area today as was craving for some waffles and went straight to Take A Brè. I ordered a peanut waffle and the waffle was very filling and the peanut given to me was a lot and very good! If you are looking for good waffles, come give this a try!

P.S The service is really good and fast too. She was very cheerful and also very nice! by @take.abre

The way my mouth dropped when I saw the rating cause how can such a good waffle be 3.8!!! (Hehe yes taste is subjective :p but this is too low 😭 I still watch u guys outcast 🫶🏻) 2nd time visiting this shop and had to get the Pistachio one 🤤 So sinful but so so good. @take.abre taken in Chinatown Singapore by @take.abre

Feeling tired and craving something sweet? Take a Bre-ak!🧇

Yup thats the place name, Take A Bre offers a wide range of waffle flavours in the heart of Chinatown! Here’s my quick take on the classic waffle!

Pistachio (add on Nutella +$1 - $6.00): 8/10
It was difficult to pick between flavours as this store had a whole list from plain to Kaya or Strawberry, it just keeps getting longer. Was inclined towards the Pistachio so I chose that with an add on of Nutella. Texture of the waffle was crispy and fluffy! Loaded fully on both sides of the waffle, it was heaven in a bite! Flavours were well balanced with just the right amount of sweetness, perfect if you have a sweet tooth!
Highly recommend trying out this combo. Otherwise you can pick either one of your choice!

Although it’s on a pricier side, it’s no surprise considering it’s in a tourist hot spot I’d say this was quite tasty and the owner was generous with the fillings too! Give this a shot if you’re ever around this area to satisfy your sweet cravings!👍🏻
