Continued our heartfelt connection with @teaartsculture continues—from Odes to Common Things earlier this year to their Community Engagement Tea program. It was so meaningful to bring this installation and tea gathering back to @6bgarden for a third year.

So much goes into a gathering, many hands, open hearts, time shared with one another, and people simply stepping in and being part of it.

I’m deeply grateful to all the friends who brought their time, hands, and hearts to make it happen; to 6 & B Garden and its members for welcoming this work again; and to everyone who came to share tea, conversation, and a little time together.

Special thanks to @cpfnyc, @partnershipsforparks, and @greenthumbnyc for supporting this project.

Join @takiyahg for a Masala Chai making workshop at Jerome Glenmore Cornerstone Community Garden in Brooklyn. 🍵

In this hands-on workshop, participants learn about the history and rise of popularity in chai in India while making a vegan chai for everyone to enjoy. We begin by connecting our senses with the herbs and spices used to make the tea. Together we together create a fragrant masala mix that gets added to our pot. As the chai boils, we sample a loose-leaf Indian tea while discussing the history and the medicinal properties of the spices.

Hope to see you and connect in community.
