After a long metamorphosis period, I’m here, not coincidently on Mother’s Day, to take up my space.

And I want to help other women to do the same. To return to their body, to their home.

I’m Talitha Ramos, I’m a photographer and somatic coach.
My main teacher and my boss is my body, and I am constantly learning how to connect and to surrender to it.

If you feel curious or called, do not hesitate: hold my hands (aka DM - just as a first step) and I will tell you more.

I hold two containers and through it I offer:
- Photo-Somatic Experience sessions
- Somatic exploratory movement sessions

She would wash her hair and sit in the sun to comb it—slowly, a quiet ritual of being with herself.

That day, I watched from a distance, camera in hand, hiding behind the laundry wall, afraid to interrupt her intimacy.
Through the lens, I felt it— the softness of her presence, the pleasure in something so simple.

She saw me. I expected refusal. Instead, a laugh—warm, alive. “What are you doing there, girl?” I told her she looked beautiful in the sun. And she let me stay.
We began, then, a silent dance. She opened, little by little, letting me come closer, letting me witness her— just as she was.

No performance. No rush. Old clothes, bare face, her hair, her comb, her sun.
Even the plant beside her joined us— touching her skin, casting shadows, inviting her to play, to feel.
 Until she rested, at peace with me, as I was with her.

This is how it has always been— since she first held me, since we first recognized each other. A bond from somewhere beyond.

Those photos were taken 2 years ago, a few months before she had a stroke.
Things have changed since then.
 I keep witnessing.
Because the world should know her. Because she is worth celebrating. Because this is what I wish for all women: to feel seen.

Today, my grandmother turns 94. New Moon in Aries— fire, beginning again.

Today, on her day and inspired by her fire, I start a new chapter as a Somatic photographer and Somatic coach for women.

***This photographic process I went through with her is called Sacred Witnessing and it generates so much more than “just” images. It’s a field where you meet yourself just as you are. With presence, truth, and the feeling of being seen in your own essence, dancing your own dance.

I love when I get the chance to shoot something that is meaningful to me. I have been practicing yoga for almost 10 years now, and I always say that yoga is a miracle. It’s a sacred and healing practice that I’ve learned from my beloved friend @cwenpaula_yoga and am forever grateful.

Last year @emmaelizabethbowen and I collaborated to create some content for her yoga business and I got truly inspired by it.
I love those shots and forgot to show them to the world. Hope the world likes it too ;)

Maria de Lourdes is my grandmother (my mother’s mom) and she saved me many times in my childhood. I would say she has saved many of us. She is now 91 years old and I want to let the world know that she has survived and she helped me to survive too. by @tali_ram
