Co-owners Nikki, Shirelle and Tamisha are seasoned and licensed cosmetologists and beauty industry professionals, and bring an old school beauty salon approach to service, and hair and scalp health.

Starting at $150, The Take Down Lux is a comprehensive hair transformation service that includes:

Final pricing and length of service depends on many factors like protective hairstyle being taken down, your hair, your haircare needs and styling. My hair took 5-ish hours minus my excessive yapping and capturing content. 😂

Thank you to @abcnewsstudios and @nightline for including me in this episode and allowing me to share what we stand to lose—freedom of expression, community and a platform used by so many Black voices—with the U.S. TikTok Ban. ICYMI: I’m one of the eight TikTok creators suing the U.S. government over the Ban.

✨DC’s first Black woman-owned brewery✨ Finally got a chance to visit @urbangardenbrewing in the city’s Shaw neighborhood.

Located right next to The Howard Theater, this is the perfect place for pre-show and pre-party drinks and dinner (or Brunch if it’s Saturday).

They have a weekday happy hour from 4-7pm and kid’s menu for your littles.

Inside is colorful and spacious with table, bar height and bar seating. There’s also a patio out in front for when it’s nice outside.

Urban Garden Brewhouse is serious about its in-house craft brewing, but it’s equally thoughtful about its cocktail and food menus.
