When I think about who I am today and why I love myself so deeply, it’s because at 14, I had no idea this version of me existed. Along the way, I discovered so much about myself, fell in love with pieces I never knew were there. The contradictions, the quirks, the parts that don’t quite make sense.

Even the fragments I once wanted to discard for someone else’s approval, I embraced them all.

I found a piece of OJ that people claimed was never here, that it didn’t even exist.

But I heard a voice telling me, “OJ,” there is more in you. So I chose to follow that voice, I heard that voice many many years ago.

Father, we thank You. 🙏🏻

It began with a gentle, genuine “Hey! are you okay?” but God had so much more in mind: purpose filled conversations, healing care, and growing hearts. Now I get to marry the one whose heart mirrors His. It’s the doing of the Lord.

I was clearing my phone gallery this morning and saw all these amazing pictures that I couldn’t erase. Some tell a story, some are memories, and some are just random pictures I took on a good day. I’ve grown and transformed over the years. God has been so good to me.

I’m ending September with a grateful heart🙏 God has been so good to me. There have been good days and bad days, but I’m grateful every day for the gift of life. God keeps me going.

Toxic relationships can be soul-crushing, damaging your self-esteem and well-being.
Recognizing these red flags early could save you a world of heartache down the line.

Here are some red flags to watch out for:

📍 When your partner tries to control your every move.
Gets upset when you want to spend time with friends or family?
Bombard you with calls and texts when you’re apart?
Make decisions for you without your input?
Healthy relationships involve trust, independence, and respecting each other’s boundaries.

📍A little jealousy can be normal, but it becomes toxic when jealousy is constant, irrational, and accompanied by angry outbursts.
If your partner gets furiously jealous anytime you talk to someone of the opposite sex, accuses you of cheating, or blows up your phone demanding to know where you are, it’s an unhealthy obsession.

📍 When your partner constantly put you down, call you names, or criticize your appearance, intelligence, or abilities.
A caring partner should make you feel valued, not worthless.

📍 When your partner completely disregard your feelings, wants, and boundaries. If you find yourself repeatedly disappointed, disrespected, or neglected, it’s a major red flag.

📍One of the most glaring toxic relationship signs is any form of threat or intimidation.
This can include threats of violence, destroying property, withholding money, or threats to harm themselves if you try to leave.

No matter how much they apologize or promise to change, threats are never acceptable.
Relationships are not always perfect, but they also shouldn’t leave you feeling drained, devalued, or unsafe.

If you recognize multiple red flags like these, don’t try to change or fix the relationship on your own.
