At the end of 2025 I got asked to help design and animate a short ad for an online tool that helps farmworkers anonymously share their experience working in the field. The tool was built by UC Santa Cruz.

I never got to share it, because at the same time I was having my first child. But I wanted to share some moments here and say thanks to the two collaborators that made this project what it came out to be. Thanks to @jacintosalz in direction & @supersonicliberatore for music and sound design.

Try to line up the daisies instrumental by Justin bieber with a crash zoom on your video in the instragram reels editor, and see how long it takes, we took 15.23 minutes. We as in me and two other sober people. This is way too difficult. Literally try it. It’s hard. by @taltiitude

I made this painting from a photo of Courtney near a lovely flower bush in the fall. I decided to be more reserved with the pastel this time, thought it made the scene pop a bit more. by @taltiitude

“Dog afternoons in Rittenhouse Square”, I made this painting as a little residency at my brothers apartment in Philly. I spent a lot of time walking the dog Finn, and saw the whole experience as a dog walker. The painting slowed me down in color choice, and really had me asking stronger questions around color. I left the sky untouched by pastel, kinda like a nice resting place above the buildings. Also it was perfect blue sky all weekend. 54”x54” pastel on oil on canvas. taken in Rittenhouse, Philadelphia by @taltiitude

“Morningside Park One Sunday Morning” // 60”x27”

My friend @blakecjohnson13 encouraged me to not hold out on y’all. I never got great documentation of this one. So I didn’t post it.

But it was a tough painting, I made it for two friends of mines, they were neighbors and moved to the other side of the city. I wanted to capture the place where we really first met, this lovely staircase in Morningside Park.

This was a hard painting because I wanted to paint on panel, but a certain size of panel. And I had to fabricate it, which at first I thought would be cool. Was very difficult to get structurally sound. I learned by the end why people paint in canvas. There is some magic to paint on canvas. It takes to air nicely. by @taltiitude

I’ve been trying to work on this short animation about the story of a national forest worker down in Florida.

But I keep getting hit by artist block, like my mind keeps making excuses for not doing the work— saying things, “well that’s not very good” or “that style can’t carry over the whole film”. Anyone else feeling blocked right now on anything particular? taken in Apalachicola National Forest by @taltiitude

Spent the last 4 years on the production line making some sick animations, probably got a few more white hairs from all the late nights and re-renders.

Kinda crazy all the work we made in such a short time. Courtney and I have been editing the film, kinda slowly. But it’s been fun, we’ve got some great performances, and having a good time finding the best takes inside the edit.
Would love to know if y’all have any good advice for staying committed to an edit without rushing the edit. taken in Great Hill Central Park by @taltiitude
