What a wonderful time in Tāmaki! 🌞

Nga mihi to everyone who joined us at the free Community Day last weekend to hear about the work happening in the area and what’s ahead.

Thank you to the kai vendors, build partners Precision Construction, NZ Strong, and Signature Construction, and community organisations who came along to share information about the work happening on the ground.

From Mahi Mai sharing employment opportunities, Own It advising on shared home ownership, and build partners talking about new homes and their investment in local rangatahi cadets, it was a great opportunity to bring people together to share and celebrate the exciting mahi taking place across Tāmaki. by @tamakiregeneration

Grab your bike and come join the GI Whānau Ride on Saturday 17 October! 🚲

The new Glen Innes cycling network is open and Auckland Transport is launching the GI Whānau Rides to help people gain confidence when they're riding in and around the area.

The rides are a series of 10 guided routes delivered by local community group Te Ara Tāmaki.

So come along and join the launch!

When: Saturday 17 October 2026
Time: 10am
Start and finish location: St Mary’s Church (132 Taniwha Street)
What to bring: Your bike and helmet
What else to expect: There will also be an opportunity to connect over kai and kōrero after the ride. by @tamakiregeneration

We welcome you to a fun and informative event as we share details about upcoming projects in the area.

Free kai (hot chips, tacos, mini donuts), refreshments, face painting, bouncy castle and fun activities for the entire whānau!

With a shared focus to support students as they consider their next steps beyond college, it was awesome to see so many organisations come together at the recent Tāmaki College School Expo.

Whether that’s further study, training, employment or exploring different career pathways, we enjoyed connecting with others who are invested in the future of local rangatahi.
