Vibing with musicians (Lucas - Guitar Solo) in the session led by Vincenzo (Vocals & Keys) was a friendly experience, which is rare in jams.

Seeing Aaron Raptor in action shooting videos and photos up close on stage was also fun.

Gracias a @perpaint for capturing this Happy "Lady".

Back to Jazz - Performing John Coltrane's Solo in Equinox:

"Answer me if a shaman or a lost valiant
Say men are bad and good
And they can even just change the balance
Do what you will or live a flash life
Whatever witch will be done
Will be doing to ya.

The sun
The sun and the silver moon
One love and it's so real
One that can easily change the balance
One you can easily feel
Well that makes me realise
This is a moment in time
It's priceless
And we still exist in this."

(Vocalese by José James with some mistakes and adaptations by me. My music degree is actually in Performance Jazz Vocals would you believe...)

Thanks to Vicky Lee for the video, my new friend.

Is this the end of the world? ¿Es el final del mundo?

This is what people thought about the place where I am standing (Photo 1 & 3). In Roman times, Cape Finisterre was known as "finis terrae" or the "end of the earth" (or at least in Europe).

It is obviously not the end of the earth, but the perception was very different back then.

However - Have we arrived at the point, where we may believe the same about today?

Times don't look good.

At 0 km on el Camino de Santiago stands a lighthouse: el Faro de Fisterra. It was built in 1853 on a rugged cliff to protect ships from the treacherous waters of the "Coast of Death" (A Costa da Morte).

For many years, pilgrims have burnt their possessions carried on el camino al Faro. In my case, I sacrificed the dish cloth I used as my towel and most of my clothes.

It is a powerful rite of passage. A part of me died that day and was given to the sacred fire.

What rose from the ashes was the light of my spirit - my ancestor's gift - the warrior -  the magician - the undying witch.

The way to get there was not always pretty. It was desert and dangerous with bad weather, cyclones, forest fires and flooding.

I share all this to say:
The time of The Lighthouses has come.

Let's be lighthouses, to inspire other lighthouses, to shine their lights for more lighthouses!

We need all the love lights ON!
Full volume please.

Ultreia.

After arriving in España, Erisvaldo and I sat down in the mountains for meditation.

He told me “Olhe para o céu e me diga o que você vê… Look up into the sky and tell me what you see?” God knows how I understood him, Erisvaldo spoke no english. My passive portuguese must have been pretty good, living with Brazilian friends in Wellington for almost 4 years.

I saw a cloud in the sky in the shape of the North Island of New Zealand. Then another emerged looking like the form of Australia. Suddenly a quiet voice in my right ear said: “Today you are going to meet a couple who have connections to New Zealand and Australia and they will be very important for you.” I thought to myself: “I am going mad or this is going to be interesting.”

We arrived at the village of Castiello de Jaca and were told that the only casa rural was a rose coloured house with a yin yang sign on the hill. We found it, knocked on the door and a tall blond man answered the door. I said to myself: “This man doesn´t look Spanish”.

He went into the house, talking to Erisvaldo with wild hand signals. After a while, he came running towards me and he said:

“Hi! My name´s Dominic. I´m English but I have lived with my Spanish wife in New Zealand and Australia. Our twin boys have New Zealand passports. Welcome!”

He and his wife Begoña were astounded that a young Māori girl from Aotearoa had walked her way to their home en Los Pirineos.

I felt alone and afraid of where I would go and what would happen to me next, so I knelt down beside my bed to pray. Then I heard the voice say: “Don´t you see? You are in the right place.”

While Dom served me breakfast, the song “in the arms of the angels” by Sarah McLauchlan played. I listened to this song over and over again to give me courage before I left New Zealand with a one way ticket.

So here in La Morada I met my Spanish family:
Dom, Bego, Maria, Tris and Dani
Os quiero ❤

I share this to say - For those of you who also feel in doubt - Angels and Miracles do exist.

In difficult moments when some say: “You must be sad that you have to give up.” That is PRECISELY the moment when Angels and Miracles show up.

A friend who I met on el Camino de Santiago sent me some photos. One of the photos featured pilgrims’ feet. I saw it and laughed out loud: “Oh my god! That´s so bad!” Then like a lightning bolt, the joke was literally on me:
Those feet are mine.

Before walking 1200 kms on el Camino de Santiago from Lourdes to Cape Finisterre, when people told me about the camino I said to myself “I´ve already travelled half way around the world. Why on earth would I do a thing like that!!??”

Little did I know…

I discovered a book in the Aberfeldy library in the highlands of Scotland (where I used to live) about the St Clair Family (my family), the knights templar and the chakras of Europe: Rosslyn Chapel (crown) in Scotland; Amiens (third eye), Notre Dame (throat), Chartes (heart), Lyon (solar plexus), Toulouse (belly) Cathedrals in France and Santiago de Compostella (root) in Spain.

I wanted to find out who I am and to test the universe, if it really answers when you call…
(@paulocoelho “The Alchemist" "El Camino").

So off I went, following the rose line.  I stood in each of these places, sang my prayers, lit my candles and practiced sacred geometry, with my back pack, all on my own at the tender age of 25.

As I walked over the border from France to Spain with my Brazilian Camino Master called Erisvaldo @papai_noel_eris (parabens!) This has walked the camino 3 times, from Assisi to Fatima in Portugal. I could not have met a better guide walking in the candle light procession in Lourde.

Everything that happened to me surpassed my wildest imaginations, (like leaving my favourite skirt beside the river Gave de Pau).

When you fling yourself into the wide unknown, there is a librian balance between terror and excitement...

That was 20 years ago, but same, same.

Funnily now, I feel in a similar place with my music, art and water - left the comfort zone.

It's helpful to remember the courage it takes, to Just F*cking GO!!!
Full Moon in Aries coming up.

Thankfully we don´t know everything.

It was well worth the journey and I wouldn't have missed getting dirty and messed up for all the world.

Straight after speaking with Te Ao Māori News in Aotearoa, lovely reporter Riria Dalton-Reedy said to me "Have a good moe (sleep)". I said, "Thanks but not yet... I'm going out ki te waiata (to sing!)"

I jumped straight into the car and shortly after arriving at Camping Azahar was called immediately to the stage to jam.

- Tarantino vibes a tope -

Fun to play with the Vidal Brothers, Óscar & Jordi @jordirockandroll celebrating 20 years of friendship! Os quiero! Aroha ki a kōrua tahi!

Some things take a while to process... What a Lion's Portal Eclipse session this is!

Seeing the lights go down like a planetary reboot, then to witness The live Golden Circle around the moon was a humbling and beyond beautiful experience.

In these pivotal moments I take my time to ask myself some private questions:

* Who am I now?

* How do I want to play upon this stage called Life?

* What happens when I centre and liberate myself, to sing and speak with my heart and throat chakras fully open?

Old thought patterns come apart - shame, fear, limits, relationships - are changed forever with this gold.

The animals know when to stay with their backs turned to the sun and when it's safe to look at the sky and howl.  It's time to turn up the instinctual wisdom of who and what we are and live it.

Somos ella."

@kuyaysantosha @solhomarmusicworld y más!

My song is my prayer for this Total Solar Eclipse: "Wai ora" Water & Life.

May water fall on the fires around the world, heal our mother earth papatūānuku by washing her with our tears "Horoi ngā roimata o te ao".

May all that needs to break, break -
So the breakthrough takes place for
Aio (peace), Koa (joy), Aroha (love), Pono (truth)
Ki te āiorangi (to the universe).

A dream come true to have my composition - the voice of the dolphin / whale - played by @bartlettfrances

An Amazing Artist & Alchemist of Plant Essences & Music. Couldn't imagine a more beautiful and accomplished companion on the cello from the Royal College of Music of London by my side!
Tēnā koe Fran! Moltes Gràcies!
Thank you so much!

And this was only our 3rd run through of the piece! Connection 🌈

Live @hilanderas_festival
1st Edition. Muchas Gracias Carlota @amritacacao for this wonderful gift you gave to us all @amara.valley

Arohanui tātou!!!
Much Love for us all!!
