Japan you have my heart, a country I’ve been fascinated with for a long time through food, anime and everything kawaii. My first solo trip to Japan felt like I peaked below the surface of what this beautiful country has to offer. I got to explore off the beaten tourist trail in the magical misty mountains in Kyushu, bubbling volcanic hot springs and islands dotting the coastline. Every club I played it was so clear the importance of community and connection surrounding it, the dancers so genuine and warm and all the insane dishes I got to eat with locals (oishii oishii oishii) I cannot wait to come back, I have a feeling you could explore this country for a lifetime and always find something new 🌋My eternal thanks to all the beautiful people who made this happen @ysk_alpha @goodrug_ @lifelongrequest @_olevv @t.e.n.o_ and the v special spaces who hosted me @sound_community_dub @alpha.kokura @logic.miyazaki @blvck__water @forestlimit_info @room303radio 🙏🫶💗 by @tangela__t

Every mix we’ve heard since has only deepened our love for her sound and her energy as a person only mirrors the soft warmth and elegant strength that can be felt in her sets. A living narrative unfolds through the THIRD EYE: TANGELA ☀️Tangela is a DJ, producer and sonic storyteller whose work moves through deep, subterranean techno, psychedelic textures and fluid experimental forms. Her sound is both grounded and shape-shifting, guiding listeners through dense low-end pressure before dissolving into spacious, textural environments where perception bends and reorients itself.Her approach to aural storytelling is defined by contrast and movement. Sub-heavy, subaquatic foundations give way to playful and unexpected sonic detours, creating journeys that feel simultaneously disorienting and intimate. Each set carries a sense of drift, as if the listener is being carried through shifting terrains without ever fully returning to the point of origin.Her trajectory within the underground emerged through her weekly radio residency on Sydney’s iconic FBi Radio, where she explored a spectrum of “squelchy, wobbly, gooey, twisty” transmissions that quickly became a defining signature of her early voice.As co-founder of the label Oomycota, Tangela has helped cultivate a platform dedicated to experimental techno and forward-facing electronic music, supporting emerging artists from Australia and beyond.
