so blessed to even be able to make this post.

Sophomore Year- threw ≈8 PR’s, improved my PR by 5 meters, got to compete at Texas A&M and Florida, (conference meet) made it to finals in 9th place with a PR, threw 2 more PR’s in final to move up to an 8th place finish, and scored 1 point for my team🙏

Definitely a season I will cherish forever. From all the teammates to all the memories at each and every track meet. This season was definitely special for me. @jsf463 thank you for pushing me and guiding me through a year full of highs and lows. Staying course, present in the moment and simply having fun allowed me to progress through this season. Thank you seniors🤍 Thank you mom and dad for showing up whether my meet is in Lake Charles @McNeese or in Florida @Florida Gators. This season was truly a testament to my faith. I stayed true to myself and God allowed me to peak at the right time. Thank you to everyone who followed me along this year. Love y’all, see y’all next season😜

DEFINITELY not the result I wanted, not even close, but I’m so grateful for the opportunities McNeese Track and Field has given me. This doesn’t happen to people like me from where I’m from. Forever blessed. To the seniors that have guided me and believed in my dreams as if they were yalls own, we may not be teammates anymore but we will forever be family. Yalls love and support is unmatched, thank yall for guiding me in this year of struggle, success, tears and happiness. But you can mark my word, people WILL remember my name in the seasons to come. Rewriting the script they had for me, my story has only just begun…year 1✅ by @tanny.beard
