These are probably the last shellac manicures for a while. It was a running joke because I started getting them around a time that I started an "office job" that I'm no longer at. Time to move on! It was a super fun time getting all of these different designs and developing a light relationship with the nail salon staff. I made a lot of nail friends and had great chats as well! Grateful for this time but the upkeep doesn't fit my current lifestyle anymore. 🙏🏻💅🏻

Let's see what's next! 🫰🏻

Shellac manicure habit continues... And really got into nail art, in addition to cat eye, haha!!

Several weeks ago I was introduced to Shellac manicures and this might be a problem.

And "cat eye" decoration. What is this nail art magic with mica flakes and a magnet? Who thinks of this? by @tansychau

Amazing hangout session with @rope_access_maintenance_inc ! Thanks for a great time!

Tried out some new gear and a new manoeuvre:

THE VERTICAL AID CLIMB!!

Was pretty tricky at first but got shown some hot tips and it's actually not bad! As with many of the manoeuvres, it's all about technique!

Oh yeah, right, I live here!
More things I've eaten in Toronto recently -

1
Bacon Benny, brunch menu
@bothamsto
...Bacon eggs benedict on Latkes. Those potatoes were deliciously crisp!

2
Viva Puffs - Strawberry
@dare.foods
...Chocolate coated marshmallow, cookie, and jelly. Obviously got these at the grocery store and not while dining out, but they get a shout out because I ate them and it had been so long I last had these!!

3
Maui Wowee (Special) // Killer Bee pizzas
@northofbrooklyn
...Pizza! I could eat pizza all day every day. I'm so glad they opened a location near me! I also am gunning to try their wings! The neighbourhood says they're top rated!

4
Jerk Chicken Bowl
@stonelionpub
...There's a bed of rice under there! I love a good bowl. Loaded Mac n Cheese in the background with ju.jubes

5
Fresh mozzarella, prosciutto
@scaddabush
... A ball of mozzarella. When you're an adult you can literally just eat cheese for dinner

6
Lamb fries
@eulaliescornerstore
...Dressed fries with Morrocan spiced lamb. Pomegranate adds such a nice zing!

7
King's Crown Nachos
@thesneakydees
...the best nachos in the city. Such great layering and topping-to-chip ratio!

8
Brisket Sandwich, cross section
@thewrendanforth
...droolworthy. ...two briskets to paradise!

9
Canadian Omelette
Occasions Restaurant and Pub - absolute local gem who's not even on IG
...Delicious classic breakfast. Bacon, mushrooms, cheddar

10
Monte Cristo, cross section
@starving4waffles
Monte Cristo sandwich (ham, turkey & havarti on French toast) but WAFFLES, because this place is all about waffles!

It's like I live here or something.

Things I've ate recently - Toronto CA edition

1
Khachapuri "Acharuli" - action shot, egg being mixed!
@tiflisi.toronto
...My favourite type of Khachapuri (cheesey bread) and my No. 1 order at a Georgian Restaurant. Also recommended are Khinkali (meat/soup filled dumplings) and Saperavi (a dry red wine).

2
Mixed Seafood Okonomiyaki
@okonomihouse
...Japanese cabbage pancake. Definitely got aonori (dried seaweed) and katsuobushi (bonito flakes) to go with it

3
Breakfast arepa
@pomarosa_to
...Stuffed Venezuelan flatbread. Great sauces too! Also the ONLY place in the city I've ever seen/had a HORCHATA Latte (Horchata = plant based milk). Highly recommend.

4
Alsatian quiche!
@patisserielacigogne
...Ham, bacon, and Swiss cheese pie. They also have tarte flambee (a flatbread AKA flammkuchen) which is my favourite Alsatian dish, but unfortunately not served on this day - the quiche was as close as I could get!

5
McChopped Cheese
@thewrendanforth
...A delicious sandwich. Honestly everything on this menu is amazing and I could do multiple posts on everything I eat here, but their IG page is definitely better than any photo I've taken! Also the seasoning on the fries is magical!

6
Peameal Bacon Sandwich
Carousel Bakery at the @stlawrencemarket
...A Toronto classic. We're called "Hogtown" for a reason! So simple, so tasty!

7
Pepperoni // Eggplant Parm (No longer on regular menu) Calzones
@cals_zone_to at @radicalroadbrew
... Love a little pocket of pizza. Delicious calzones made by Neil! Say hi when you go!

8
Original Shoyu Tonkotsu Ramen
@konjiki_ramen
...Japanese noodle dish. Always love a classic house dish. And added a tamago (soft boiled egg). Obviously!

9
Assorted party tray of brigadeiros, featuring the beautiful hand model @cube_cat
@marysbrigadeiro
...Decadent Brazilian truffles? YES PLEASE.

10
Cross section of a Byers BBQ Brisket Bonanza Burger (not on regular menu) - The Wren has nightly specials and Mondays are BURGER MONDAYS
@thewrendanforth, also tagged in #3. I could do multiple posts on this place.
....This burger holds a special place my heart taken in Toronto, Ontario by @tansychau
