They say when you’re feeling lost or overwhelmed, you go back to your teacher. To feel anchored again. To feel held.

That’s exactly what the last 21 days of Acharya Sadhana have been for me. A return to myself, to stillness.
To a space that feels like home.
To people who see you, guide you, and remind you gently of who you are.

I’ve been stretched, held, challenged, nourished.
And I’ve come out of it feeling steadier, softer, and more sure of what matters.

I’m leaving with so much more than I came with and I know it’s not just for me.
I’m excited (and ready) to share it, hold space, and pass on the little things that have made a big difference.

Glad to end the Last month of the year under the guidance of the most compassionate, dedicated, inspirational human being @bharat_shetty_official You have filled my cup that arrived empty and now the time has come to go out in the world and share the love you have instilled into us thank you for constantly reminding us to be present, just sit and listen, nothing to do, no where to go, no measurable outcome in sight.

Our day starting from 4:45 am till 9:30 pm
From morning Jal neti & sutra neti kriya, Asana Practise, Pranayama, Hands on adjustments classes, mediation, anatomy classes, Evening asana practise, chanting & trataka, not to mention two weeks of intense cleansing kriyas like Vamana Dhouti & Shankapralshana. When we first decided to get married, we imagined a quiet court ceremony simple, straightforward, just the two of us signing our names and stepping into a new chapter. But, as anyone in an Indian household knows, nothing is ever that simple. A few months of conversations, contemplation, and gentle nudges later, we realized something, we did want to celebrate, just on our own terms.

We didn’t want the chaos, the crowds, or the pressure. We wanted presence. To savor every moment, to truly be with the people who had been part of our journey, to create something intimate yet meaningful. So, we set out in search of a place that felt right a place where nature would embrace us, where the mountains would stand witness, and where getting there would be easy for our guests.

That’s how we landed on Darjeeling, insisted by @ayushisinghi

Of course, no wedding is without its compromises, but our families surprised us. They cut their guest lists down to a quarter of what they had imagined, allowing us to keep the gathering small, just the people who truly mattered. And so, instead of rushing from one event to the next, drowning in a sea of expectations, we found ourselves in a celebration that felt effortless.

No overpacked schedules, no overwhelming attention, no unnecessary grandeur. Just love, laughter, and the quiet joy of knowing that in this moment, with these people, we were exactly where we were meant to be.

A wedding, yes but more than that, a Sukhoon moment. taken in Taj Chia Kutir Resort & Spa, Darjeeling by @tanvisinghi

Parshwa and Tanvi walked into the studio as complete beginner for 5 days.

Today, they’re leaving with pottery they made themselves, stories we’ll keep talking about, and a love for clay they didn’t know they had. taken in Dharamkot (Himachal Pradesh) by @tanvisinghi

There’s this nagging feeling I’ve had about the yoga industry lately. So much of it has become about content, aesthetics, and trends and somewhere along the way, the real wisdom got lost. This ancient, rich culture has been quietly diluted. Just something that’s been sitting with me! by @tanvisinghi

The kind of quiet love? It’s the one that lasts.

A year of choosing each other in ways both quiet and deliberate. A year of little surprises, thoughtfully planned and gently placed into ordinary days. A year with someone who understands that the smallest moments often hold the deepest joy

We built a home. Not just walls and furniture, but comfort. Safety. A soft place to return to. We moved out and stepped into a life we had dreamed of for a long time, slowly shaping a space that feels unmistakably ours.

There were conflicts. There were ups and downs, as there always are. But we chose not to run. We chose to speak, to listen, to sit through discomfort. We addressed the little things before they became heavy. We learned that love isn’t the absence of conflict, but the willingness to stay and understand. This year held exploration. Meditation, learning to be still, together. Depth diving 30meter underwater, discovering a world that asks you to breathe differently, to trust, to surrender. Moments that changed us quietly ❤️

There was support in abundance. My mother-in-law far more than a confidant steady, present, and generous with her strength. And my mother, who would stock up the house with groceries the moment I came home, love expressed in the most practical, tender ways. Parents who showed up to yoga classes every single morning, just to see me to witness, to support, to be close. Love that never asked for anything in return.

And then our sisters! Three of them wrapping us in warmth, care, and an endless, gentle kind of love. Building a life with a plus one isn’t always easy. It’s layered and evolving. It’s learning who we are together, and who we are individually. It’s understanding what brings each of us joy, and choosing again and again to honor that. It’s learning to loosen our grip on the past and the future, and to arrive more fully in the present.

One year in, I feel grounded. Held. At home in this life, in this love, in us.

And that, to me, feels like everything. by @tanvisinghi

This year has been about commitment, change, and finding my way back to teaching with a full heart. From pausing for the wedding to settling into a new home studio, I’m grateful for every student who returned with patience and trust.

Now that life has found its rhythm again, I’m excited to share the teachings passed on to me and to support you in showing up for yourself with consistency and care.

Sometimes that looks like movement… sometimes stillness… sometimes simply being quiet with our thoughts. In a world that keeps us constantly on the go, these pauses help us reconnect with what truly matters.

Join me on the mat let’s build a year of grounded practice together. 🌸 by @tanvisinghi
