Thanks @achillesheeltactical for the amazing weekend at @ohiorangeday 👊🏼. It was an experience of a lifetime for me. Had a great time training with @warhogg_com and @velox_training_group doing handgun work. Thank you both for the knowledge transfer. Learned that irons suck and red dots f-ck hahaha. Especially in low light situations when moving and shooting while target transitioning. 🇺🇸🍻 #edc #2a #p365xl #streamlight #wilsoncombat taken in Ohio by @tap_rack87

So Im going to do a personal challenge. For the last few years Ive put thousands of rounds down range with a red dot on this pistol doing training courses, events and back yard fun. 10’s of thousands of dry firing and have been successful while doing so. I see the benefits of a red dot and the disadvantages. So for the next couple months Im going to dryfire and train my ass off using irons and come ORD Ill be strictly using irons on this gun for those 3 days of intense shooting. Ill be mentally collecting data through out and base my own opinion on red dots vs irons in certain situations. This will be the perfect event. OWB, AIWB and low light use with a pmwl. Maybe some mancard action aswell 🤙🏼. I grew up shooting irons like everybody else on rifles and handguns but never really “trained” with them outside of the military. Should be interesting!! So far through dryfire Ive noticed that after using a red dot for so long my iron sight capabilities have improved because with a dot your draw has to be consistent. The phrase “muscle memory” has come into play. I still target focus as you would with a dot. The red front sight just super imposes on the target. I get that “acceptable” sight picture. If I see the front sight i know its in the rear notch. Consistent grip and presentation validates shot placement. Im ready to Bill Nye this shit 👊🏼🤙🏼. #edc #reddotvsironsights #stoneage #basics #2a #sigsauer #p365xl #aht #iccammo #streamlight #wilsoncombat taken in Brookville, Pennsylvania by @tap_rack87

🔥ALWAYS FORWARD🔥You hear the boys at @achillesheeltactical talk about this. We are forever students in our craft. Extending our baseline, pushing to failure and overcoming it. Id like to be an insrtuctor someday teaching baseline or even a class for newer shooters. Id like to go for the long card aswell and take more advanced classes. Our journey is far from over gents 🔥🤙🏼🇺🇸. #aht #sigsauer #p365xl #2a #firearmstraining #edc #protector #selfdefense #purpose #mindset #skillset #mancard #toxicmasculinity #preparednotscared #wilsoncombat #icc #frangibleammo taken in Pennsylvania by @tap_rack87

Training with good dudes who also have the same mindset and purpose makes the experience that much better. Different backgrounds, lives and personalities coming together to train, learn and grow as protectors for innocent life. It is a beautiful thing 🤙🏼🇺🇸❤️. taken in Pennsylvania by @tap_rack87

What a great weekend training with the boys down at @benfranklinrange with @achillesheeltactical @david.acosta.jr 2 Day Defensive Pistol. Every conceal carrier should take this class. It covers so much more then just shooting. Thanks for everything. 🔥🤙🏼 taken in Pennsylvania by @tap_rack87

🔥🔥What an awesome time with the boys down at BFR for @rxrangeday . It was great seein the dudes from @bullcreek_strategic and Mark from @firstdefense_usa . Dispite the weather for most of the day we had friendly comps and drills before the low light classes kicked in and man was it fun! What an awesome group of shooters with good attitudes. Lots of familiar faces. Thanks @modernmaterials and @safarilandgroup for stopping out and sponsoring. Was able to pull off Man Card number 2 as well. Until next time gents 🤙🏼👊🏼🇺🇸. #aht #p365xl #wilsoncombat #streamlight #4brosholsters #wetandwild #mancard #iccammo #train #2a #edc taken in Pennsylvania by @tap_rack87
