Today, exactly 10 years from the day of our very first date, we said “I do” and cemented in ink, on the official record, what we‘ve already long known to be true: That we are *the* one for one another. That we are a true union in every sense of the word. That we are unstoppable, hand-in-hand. And that now, officially, one decade later, we are married!

Because the idea of “forever” only makes sense when we are together. ❤️‍🔥♾️

today 5/7 is, or would have been, Ortensia’s 5th Adoptaversary. Ortensia, named after Oswald the Lucky Rabbit’s black cat girlfriend, was found outside Crystal Blue in L5P just minutes past midnight in 2021. @gifthorsegirl saw her looking frantic and misplaced and insisted i pull the car over after a night out with friends from mailchimp (miss y’all). unlike most cats you encounter outside, this sweet baby rushed into the arms of complete strangers immediately upon calling for her. we’re still not sure what happened before we got there, but i know for certain she needed us that night. during our first summer together, we discovered she was pregnant. this was a shock to the system as she was so small and tiny looking when we took her in. as a young mother, Ortensia endured a traumatic pregnancy and emergency hysterectomy, leaving us with just one kitten, her son named Silver. emotionally drained from this experience, we couldn’t bring ourselves to adopt out Silver after all they’d been through. i was always very fondly attached to the idea that him and his mom would live out the rest of their lives together, being so weirdly close in age. unfortunately, that didn’t come to fruition. Ortensia passed away suddenly from an undetected and undiagnosed heart condition one afternoon in late July 2025, not long after i lost my beloved grandfather. on the way home from the vet, we saw a rainbow in the sky, something i haven’t seen since, and sobbed hoping it was her giving us a sign that she crossed the bridge and was okay on the other side. i don’t really believe in an afterlife, but this was the closest it had ever felt to being something real. the truth is i’ve been in an absolutely disastrous headspace in the near year that has passed. it pains me so dearly to know you’re not here anymore and i am having serious trouble progressing through life at the thought of you not being there alongside us for the journey that unfolds. and if a better destination lies ahead, i’m sorry you were cheated out of the opportunity to experience it in our arms. if you’ve read this far, please take a moment to give your pet a little extra love today in her memory. ❤️‍🩹 by @tapdatapp

thirty (30) today. the last ten years have been so formative. i feel very fortunate to have spent most of them with the love of my life @gifthorsegirl and my best friend @mikebot3000, who are both here with me at @Disneyland this week to celebrate. along the way, i’ve re-embraced my creative side with photography and made some of my wildest dreams come true, often through sheer willpower. growing older is still scary to me, but life is getting progressively easier and more stable and i couldn’t be more grateful for that. here’s to the next 10 and beyond. and shoutout @clickhole for the fit. 🥳🎂♉️ taken in Disneyland by @tapdatapp

Memes aside, 2024 was definitely my year: I went to Walt Disney World for the first time since I was 16, I photographed my favorite band 3 more times, joined a community for video game music on vinyl and made new forever friends, explored backstage at Monster Mansion, met K.K. Slider in real life, went on a last minute adventure in the desert to capture live sets and behind the scenes content of 20+ artists I grew up with all in one weekend, experienced the future of tomorrow’s technology and took it home, and most importantly, I got engaged to the love of my life.

today is international @gifthorsegirl day. if you’ve ever interacted with Kayla, you know she’s one of the kindest souls ever put on earth. she’s beautiful and beyond intelligent and makes me proud just to breathe the same air on a daily basis. the world is a significantly better place with her in it and i honestly don’t think she regularly gets the flowers she deserves. i love you babe: happy birthday, and thanks for being you. 🫶🥳🎂 by @tapdatapp

As this era likely comes to a close, I’m left reflecting on how it led to some of my favorite times of being a fan of @falloutboy since 2005. I will never forget how it all started either: with the magic of @claytoi’s creations. Thank you so, so much. 😭

8 years together with the love of my life!!!!!!!! after so much time has passed, my day to day is unrecognizable without you by my side. i truly believe we have brought out (and continue to bring) the best of each other over the years, adding new things to love and to cherish to our lives, both combined & separate.

i always wanted a relationship like this, but wasn’t quite sure it was in the cards. but somehow we found each other and now it’s been the greatest honor of my life to experience your love.

it might sound like so much fluff but i am just always in the clouds with you. i thank the stars and heavens we have what we have together and i know we will continue to flourish as we mature alongside one another. growing up isn’t as intimidating when i know you’re right there with me.
