🎄 Festive Fun at Tapnell Farm Park! 🎄

We're doing Christmas a little differently this year!

Rather than our usual ticketed Christmas event, from 1–24 December we're filling the Farm Park with Christmas cheer, twinkling trees, seasonal decorations and plenty of festive touches for the whole family to enjoy – all part of your usual Farm Park admission! ✨

Here's what's happening...

🐷 Meet our Christmas Animal Barn characters!
Our Animal Barn is transforming into a charming Christmas stable, with our resident animals taking on some rather important Christmas roles! Meet our Christmas pudding pigs, little Christmas donkeys, mischievous furry elves and more, each with their own Christmas story to read as you explore.

🎄 Follow our Festive Farm Trail
Pick up an activity sheet and follow the trail, meeting our Christmas animal characters, reading their stories and completing your sheet along the way.

✉️ Letters to Santa & Christmas Crafts
Little ones can write their Christmas letter to Santa and post them in our special Christmas post box, plus enjoy Christmas colouring in our Farm Crafts area.

📸 Christmas trees & family photos
Look out for our big Christmas tree in the Animal Barn and stop by our Christmas sleigh photo spot for a family snap!

🐾 All your favourite Farm Park activities, too!
There's still plenty of indoor and outdoor play, animals to meet and adventures to enjoy, whatever the December weather brings.

🎟️ No separate Christmas ticket needed! Our Christmas Animal Barn and festive displays are included with normal Farm Park admission or a valid Winter Season Pass. Some optional craft activities may carry a small additional charge.

Please note, we won't be running our traditional Christmas event or Father Christmas visits this year.

Your next day off could look a little like this… 🍂

A morning of movement, an afternoon beside the lake, good food and a little time to switch off. All surrounded by the beautiful West Wight countryside.

Autumn is a wonderful time to find a little space for yourself at Tapnell Farm.

Start with a game of Padel or Pickleball with friends, or ease into your Friday with a yoga class with Vicki.

Then head down to the lake, where @slomo_wellbeing is all about slowing the pace. Wood-fired saunas, steaming Dutch hot tubs, a refreshing lake dip or the invigorating chill of the cold plunge. Take your time, enjoy the contrast and simply be in the moment.

Stay a little longer for lunch, dinner or a drink at The Cow. Or head out for a walk along the beautiful West Wight coastline, with no particular rush to get anywhere.

And if you're not quite ready to go home, why not make a night or two of it? Our farm stays offer more time to disconnect from the everyday and reconnect with nature. Think peaceful mornings surrounded by countryside, fresh air, spectacular West Wight sunsets and quiet evenings with nowhere else you need to be. Time to put your phone away, enjoy the little moments and simply switch off.

A few hours to yourself, a day with friends or a whole weekend away. However you choose to spend it, sometimes it's the simple things that feel the best.

Good food, good company and autumn days at The Cow 😋🍂

From hearty favourites on our new winter menu to a proper Sunday roast with all the trimmings, there's plenty to look forward to around the table this season.

We're proud to use Tapnell-reared and other Island-reared meats, alongside fresh, seasonal local ingredients wherever possible. Some of the root vegetables even come from Barry's allotment here at Tapnell Manor, when the harvest allows!

Whether it's a relaxed lunch, dinner with friends or gathering the family for Sunday lunch, there's always a good excuse to pull up a chair.

And if you've got your heart set on one of our Sunday roasts, we'd recommend booking an earlier table. Numbers are limited, and once the roasts are gone, they're gone!

Jumping Pillows Update

Unfortunately, independent checks we commissioned on our new Jumping Pillows have identified issues with the installation that require remedial work on both pillows before we can open them.

This means they will remain closed throughout October half term and until further notice.

We know many of you have been looking forward to their return, and we share your frustration and disappointment that we haven’t been able to open them as planned.

We’re working to get this resolved as quickly as possible. We don’t yet have a reopening date, but we’ll share an update as soon as we have more information.

We’re really sorry for the continued delay and any disappointment this may cause. There’s still plenty to enjoy at the Farm Park, including indoor soft play, outdoor adventures, meeting the animals and our Halloween half-term activities.

🎃 Who's ready for some Halloween fun on the farm? 👻

October half term starts THIS SATURDAY, and we're getting everything ready for two weeks of autumn adventures at Tapnell Farm Park! 🍂

From 17 October – 1 November, there's plenty to keep little monsters (and their grown-ups!) entertained, whatever the weather.

🕷️ Creepy crawlies on the farm! Follow our Halloween-themed fact-card trail and discover some fascinating (and slightly gross!) facts about the bugs and beasties you might find around a farm. Pick up an activity sheet and see what you can discover along the way!

🕸️ Guess the spiders! How many plastic spiders are hiding in our jar? Have a guess for your chance to win a £50 voucher.

🎨 Get creative! Enjoy Halloween colouring in Farm Crafts or paint your very own china pumpkin or monster in our pottery painting area inside the Animal Barn.*

🐷 Meet the animals! Say hello to our farm animals and join in with daily activities including Guinea Pig Fishing, Alpaca Feed, Pig Feeding and Meet the Guinea Pigs.

📸 Strike a spooky pose! Our Halloween photo spot is ready for some fang-tastic family photos.

🙌 And all your favourite Farm Park fun! From pedal go-karts, zip wires and Mini Golf to soft play, Tiny Tapnell, slides and indoor adventures, there's plenty to explore, rain or shine.

PLUS... BOO-MANIA is back! 👻🎉

Join AJ Isle of Wight Entertainer on Tuesday 27 & Thursday 29 October, 1–4pm, for two afternoons of Halloween fun, with music, games, dancing, glow sessions, a BIG balloon drop, confetti explosions and plenty of surprises!

What does a perfect day at Tapnell Farm look like? 🌿

We asked Tom Turney, one of our partners who lives here on the farm with his family, to share his idea of the perfect day. And, as you might expect, it's a lovely mix of farm life, family time, West Wight adventures and a little relaxation.

From slow mornings over breakfast outside a Modulog, to making the most of the early Farm Park access for staying guests with Vic and their two little ones, Rapha and Lola. Plenty of playtime for the children, a proper flat white from the Coffee House for the grown-ups, and no need to rush off anywhere.

Then perhaps a few hours exploring the beautiful West Wight, with Freshwater Bay, Colwell and Totland among Tom's favourite places to visit, before heading back to the farm for the afternoon.

And that's one of the things Tom loves most about Tapnell. There's so much to enjoy right on your doorstep, particularly with young children, without spending half the day in the car. Equally, there's no pressure to fill every moment.

An afternoon might mean more adventures, or simply heading back to the Modulog to relax for a while. Then it's burgers at The Cow, a West Wight sunset and an evening under the stars in the hot tub.

And while Tom's perfect day is shaped around life with two young children, there's plenty of inspiration for couples, friends and families alike.

As Tom puts it:

“You can do loads, or you can do very little. I think the best days usually end up being a bit of both.”

A little time on the mat with Vicki 🧘‍♀️🌿

Whether you're local to the Island or enjoying a stay with us at Tapnell Farm, why not join Vicki for a yoga class?

Just around the corner from the farm, at her peaceful garden studio, Yoga with Vicki offers a welcoming space to slow down, move, breathe and reconnect.

Vicki is already three weeks into her Root to Crown - Yoga for the Whole Woman course, a journey exploring the connection between body, breath and mind through yoga, meditation, functional movement, breathwork and restorative practices.

And the best part is, you don't need to be signed up for the full course to join in! Drop-in classes are £15, making it a great addition to your stay or something to look forward to in your weekly routine. And despite the course name, men are very welcome too!

Vicki was also recently featured in The Island magazine by @spencewillardiw, sharing her yoga journey, approach to teaching and connection to the Isle of Wight. A wonderful opportunity to get to know a little more about her and her work. Be sure to pick up a copy and have a read! 🤍

Your sign to take your dog to the Isle of Wight 🐶🤍

We travelled to the Isle of Wight with @redfunnelferry, and the whole process couldn’t have been easier. We drove on to the ferry from Southampton and were there in an hour! ⛴️ Ad

For accommodation, I don’t think you can beat @tapnellfarm. There’s so much to do on site, including The Cow restaurant, the aqua park, padel and tennis, plus a range of accommodation options to suit everyone 🙌

We absolutely loved the Isle of Wight and would love to go back and explore more of the island
