F*ck it, y’all, let’s run anyway.

Not because we like losing (ok, maybe Kate does), but because exposing gerrymandering is the first step to fixing our democracy.

Our candidates—our Cant-idates—are running in unwinnable districts to tell voters the absolute f*cking truth: Elections are rigged, and we’re fighting back.

Poor unfortunate souls? Not on our watch. 🐙

Sarah Stevens has spent years helping write NC laws. Now she wants a seat on our highest court to rule on them.

Early voting is NOW through Oct. 31! 🗳️

We’re voting for Anita Earls for NC Supreme Court. Don’t forget to vote ALL the way down your ballot!

UrSarah is NOT part of our world. 🧜‍♀️ by @taracantwin

Got all dressed up for a hot date with democracy. And yes, I plan to go ALL the way down. 😏🗳️

On my ballot, obviously.

NC early voting starts TODAY! October 15–31. Find your polling place, grab your besties, and make it a date.

P.S. The outfit is giving democracy, and the accessories are giving back. 💅

This is a different type of drop-off; and we need to know about it. Thanks to @taracantwin for this great interview with the amazing @judgechristinenc about how we can “stop the drop-off”! 🙌🏻 #women #northcarolina #dropoff #education #fyp @yall.vote @bullcityanna by @taracantwin

Ladies, we need to talk about those little bubbles we leave blank. 👀🗳️

Research shows women are among the voters more likely to skip races farther down the ballot. So I asked Judge Christine Walczyk why our voices matter in judicial elections.

Her answer? Lived experience matters. Representation matters. And who’s sitting on the bench matters.

Those races at the bottom of your ballot can have a BIG impact on your life.

Know your judges. Know your ballot. And don’t leave your voice out of the conversation.

The whole ballot, y’all. The WHOLE damn thing. 💙

What if the secret to winning at the TOP of the ballot is showing up at the BOTTOM? 👀

I asked Justice Anita Earls why down-ballot races matter, and her answer is exactly why we started @cantwinvictoryfund.

We have Democrats running everywhere in NC this cycle — even in the districts rigged for us to lose.

Because you can’t vote for someone who isn’t running. And you can’t build a movement in communities you keep abandoning.

We may lose, but we LOSE FORWARD.

Vote the WHOLE damn ballot, y’all. 💙 #gerrymanderedAF #yallvote #ncpol #AnitasArmy by @taracantwin

Every time something awful happens in the South, somebody shows up in the comments with “they voted for this.”

Who is THEY, exactly?

The millions of Southerners who voted differently? The people fighting voter suppression? The communities carved up by gerrymandering? The organizers doing the work year after year?

What if yall showed up and fought for the South instead? #gerrymanderedaf #yallvote by @taracantwin

Divorce. Child support. Alimony. Dividing up everything you built together.

Not exactly things anyone puts on their vision board.

But when life gets messy and legal decisions get appealed, the people sitting on North Carolina’s Court of Appeals can have a very real impact on what happens next.

I asked Judge John Arrowood how the Court of Appeals fits into the conversation about NC’s divorce laws. And it’s a pretty good reminder that judicial races aren’t some abstract thing happening far away from our everyday lives.

Most of us don’t spend much time thinking about appellate judges. But their decisions can affect families, finances, and futures.

You shouldn’t have to end up in court to care about who’s on it.

Know your judges and vote your entire ballot! Vote @judgejohnarrowood @judgechristinenc @tobyhampson4nc @earlsanita 💙
