MULTIfest 2026 presents BIRDWORLD by Tara Morris @taramoves a participatory installation where every bird drawn by a visitor becomes part of a growing digital ecosystem.

Draw a bird and watch it take flight across a digital sky, joining hundreds of others created by the public. As the flock grows, BIRDWORLD becomes a shared, ever-changing world shaped by collective creativity and playful participation.

Featuring music by Graham Steinman.

Tara Rose Morris is a mixed desi new media artist, creative technologist, and educator based between Toronto and Montreal. Her installations, films, and performances explore how technology intervenes in our relationship with ourselves, each other, and our environment. Morris has shown works with arts institutions across North America including Gray Area, InterAccess, SXSW, VIFF, Nuit Blanche, and MAPP. She has a BA in Media Studies from Pomona College and a MSc in Fiction & Entertainment from SCIArc.

Worldwide firmament! I travelled to Germany for Fulldome Festival Jena to present my film Flicker and Gambol, have lots of conversations / learnings / thoughts about fulldome, and sneak in some Bauhaus museum visits (2) while there.

Unbelievable honored to have been awarded the Janus award for innovation for Flicker and Gambol alongside @grahamsteinman , this film was many full circle moments and culminations and I’m so grateful to the jurors for recognizing that process. Thank you @fulldome_festival I will love you forever.

Thank you so much to @ontarioartscouncil , without your support I could not have made my way down this international dome rabbit hole. I hope one day Toronto’s domes return and on that day I will be ready.

Domes are everywhere if you look for them.

Our next weekend @touchdesigner workshop is on July 25 & July 26 at New Stadium (@newsystems_ ) in Toronto, Canada. Over 2 days we’ll cover the fundamentals of TOPs, CHOPs, POPs, and COMPs, MediaPipe, and audio reactivity!

To do this, we’ll build projects from the ground up, get comfortable with the interface, and explore ways to make reactivity feel embodied 🕺
