Tarka Project turns 3! 🪩 🌶️

On November 8, during the day time, we’re taking over The Atrium and The Upstairs at Public Records for a day of live sets and nonstop dance music.

THE ATRIUM

Step into the Atrium, where the prolific @bergsonist sets the tone for the day party, followed by best friends @prettymessy.v1 (@____jaag____ b2b @arineeee) taking over the decks, with JAAG flying all the way from San Francisco. Also coming in from the West Coast is icon @biancamaieli , stepping in for a banging set, right before Queen @_zainabnyc returns to the Tarka decks to shake the floor. Co-founders @zaradekh0 and @dynomanmusic will seal the night with an unforgettable b2b.

THE UPSTAIRS

Things get magical Upstairs with @r.o.h.a.n.a serenading us with a unique Cello performance, and @chaialeh with a mesmerizing experimental live set, both of which will demand your full attention and silence. Afterward, @dakuface , joining us from Chicago, will take over with an all-vinyl set as the room transforms into a listening lounge. If you were here last year, you know how special this gets. Bring a friend and grab your tickets before they’re gone!

🌶️Featuring Syeda Zaidi🌶️

This Sunday! Get ready with your birth times, @thesyedazaidi will be doing human design readings ✨

Syeda Zaidi is a Relationship Coach and Human Design expert on a mission to help us discover who we were designed to be at birth - before parents, culture, and media molded us into who they wanted us to become. Stop by her space at the Tarka Mela for a mini Human Design reading! Find out your energy type, your signature emotions, your unique decision-making strategy and authority, and how to love yourself down to your weirdest traits.

Syeda’s work is about peeling back those layers to uncover your body intelligence and the most confident, quirky, authentic version of you. As a relationship coach, Syeda helps people become skilled at love—working through emotions, commitment, and attachment healing—so relationships bring peace, joy, fun and growth. Human Design is a magic key: once you know your energetic blueprint, you know exactly how you’re wired to connect with others, communicate, and show up for your life purpose and the people you love.

Syeda’s vision goes beyond birth chart readings. As a passionate community builder, she connects New Yorkers to their neighbors because having friendships within walking distance is truly life support. Strong relationships and community lead to better health, happiness, and longevity, and she’s proving it one park hangout at a time.

Human Design is a blend of astrology, the I Ching, Kabbalah and the chakra system. Think of it as your user manual. With your birth date, time, and location, it maps out 9 energy centers on your chart that help you know what part of your body receives your own strong energy vs. external influence. In your reading, I’ll tell you how you’re wired to make decisions, handle emotions, and interact with the world. Once you know your design, you stop trying to operate like everyone else and start working with your own nature instead of against it—in relationships, the world, and at the Mela :)
