POSTS STORIES REELS

Some people are in your life for a season and some for a reason. Either way, how often do we actually tell them what they mean to us? 💞

From a beautiful summers evening dancing at Maat in Lisbon with my beautiful long term friend @josstwentydoss 💃🏼🕺🏼🫶🏼

Send this to the people who’ve changed you.
They might love to know. 💞✨

Wee introduction for those of you who are new here, My name is Taryn, and I love dancing, the end 😂 haha no but..

I really do love dancing, so much so that I’m currently living in Lisbon following that dream 🥰 but there’s more to the story too 😉

Born in New Zealand, have lived in 🇦🇺🇺🇸🇬🇧🇨🇭🇨🇴 and now 🇵🇹

Started dancing Bachata mid 2019 and then around 2021 I found kizomba and fell in love 🥰

My first international festival was Dmaes Summerboot Camp in Porto. I came to Europe for just for the 10 day festival and flew the 35 hour trip back to NZ again 🤪

I love the sun, being warm, travel, listening to people speaking Spanish, babies, esoteric topics, peanut butter on toast and house plants 🪴

And I’ve fallen in love with Douceur and the Magic of Connection 💖

So 2 years ago I packed my bags and moved to Portugal to pursue my dreams of warmer weather and more dancing ☀️💃🏽

Through my exploration so far I’ve come to find that the world of Fusion Kizomba and in particular Douceur, speak to my soul the most. It took a lot to release all of my ‘independent woman’ stories and learn how to follow when I first started dancing. And now, the flow state that you can achieve when both people are grounded in who they are and connected by breath is something that can often transcend time and space 💫

And most recently I have been getting so much joy by helping other people find their Connection to themselves, and learn how to create Magical Connections with other people too through the Art of Connection and Douceur Workshops ✨

Never in a million years did I dream I’d be in Portugal doing this but let’s just say that I’m so happy that I am and I’m very excited to see what else life has in store!

Grateful for all of you who are following this journey as we get to share in the magic of this adventure 💖

Much Peace Love and Happiness to all you 🥰

Fun wee game to practice our intuition ✨

Because when we can connect with little things like this we strengthen the intuition ‘muscle’ for bigger life decisions like when to say yes to a dance or no, if an event feels aligned with you or when you need to make a big life choice 💫

If you got it let me know! If not, it’s ok, keep practicing it will get clearer 🤩

Slow down and smell the roses, in life and your dance ☺️🫠✨ by @tarynxinha

Maybe one day I’ll have a different success story but for now this is it ✨

Courage sought, risk taken, heart is much happier 💖

Pure love is the warmth you feel toward someone simply because they exist, without needing them to meet your needs, complete you, or become something.

Romance is one way love can be expressed.
Love itself is bigger than any relationship it appears in.

And Presence with another human being is one of the deepest forms of love there is 💖

Let’s dance more from a place of pure love, not ulterior motives ✨

Watch till the very end before you comment k 😉

And remember that EVERYTHING in life really is just an ‘interesting perspective’ 💫

We’ve all felt this at some stage in our journey, maybe this is how you feel right now?

First of all, I want to say that you ARE good enough, just by existing, don’t ever forget that!
Secondly, dancing is a journey, and we are all in different stages of that journey. So while you may look up to one dancer and think “man, I wish I was that good” there is most likely someone who’s a few stages behind you, looking at you thinking the exact same thing.

When we embrace where we are and know that the growth is a natural part of the journey, we can have more peace in the progression.

Tapping can help shift out any fears or limiting beliefs you may have about yourself or your dance journey 💫

New to EFT tapping? It stands for Emotional Freedom Technique and tapping is a self-help method where you tap on specific acupressure points on your body while focusing on a particular emotion or issue, helping to calm your nervous system and release stuck feelings.
You can use it for literally anything in your life, it’s magic ✨

You can find more Dance related Taps on my website in the ‘GUIDED PRACTICES’ section 💫

I’m so grateful for this moment, without it I’d probably still be sitting on the side lines, in my head about why it can take so long for a dance 🤪

Pair that with now knowing that Followers can ask Leads to dance too (we don’t have to wait to be asked 🤭) and you’ll have nights full of a peace, joy, happiness and good dancing! 💃🏼🥳

Because when we shift our perspective we see things differently and the world around us shifts into match it 💫

Plus you can feel the energy emanating off someone, if I’m nervous, insecure or doubting you’ll feel it.
Same as if I’m confident, secure and aware, you’ll feel that too 😎

It helped me, sharing in case it might help you too 😘

Being Present with Our Breathing ☺️✨

Most of us aren’t aware where we’re breathing or how we’re breathing but it can be a very nice way to take 2 seconds out of your day to drop into awareness and be present with your body for a moment 🤗
