Different stories. Different cities. Different backgrounds. One shared passion for sound. 🎧

Students from different parts of India came to TASE with their own goals, experiences, and creative journeys. Some came from music backgrounds, some from completely different fields, and others simply carried a strong interest in sound and wanted to explore it seriously.

Through studio sessions, live events, collaborations, and hands-on learning, they slowly started building their own path in audio. Today, many of them are working on independent music, live shows, film projects, and creative work they once only imagined being part of.

Hearing them speak about their journey, experiences, and growth is a reminder that every career in sound starts somewhere. 🎚️✨

🎛️ Confused about synthesis? Let’s make it easy!

Ever wondered why a sine wave sounds smooth, while a square wave sounds much sharper?

It all comes down to **harmonics.** 👀

In this episode of Synth Basics, we’re breaking down the four fundamental waveforms every producer should know:

〰️ **Sine Wave** — A pure tone with no additional harmonics.

🔺 **Triangle Wave** — A smooth, mellow tone with fewer harmonics.

⬜ **Square Wave** — A hollow, buzzy tone with strong odd harmonics.

🪚 **Sawtooth Wave** — A bright, rich tone packed with harmonics.

These waveforms are the building blocks of synthesis. Understanding how they work helps you make better decisions when designing basses, leads, pads, and other synth sounds.

From Sri Lanka to India

Coming from a family of musicians, @sathyajith_sathiyan chose Sound Engineering to take his passion for music to the next level.

After exploring different institutes, he chose TASE on his cousin’s recommendation — and got the opportunity to experience Post Production, Foley, Sound Design, Surround & Dolby, along with real recording sessions with artists and musicians.

He also worked on an album with his classmates, gaining the kind of hands-on experience he can take back to Sri Lanka and build on.
