Most of my posts are about my love of books, traveling, flowers, hanging my laundry, baseball, and of course, my husband and kids.

Thank you @deweysreadathon for making me take the time to sit down and finally read this book. I’ve been devouring it, and crying, since 9 this morning. This book is a love story, but not only is it a love story about people, it’s a love story about books and bookstores, and how reading can change your life, if only you let it. I’m completely dehydrated from crying, and I’ve gone through about seventeen Kleenexes, but I will be recommending this book to everyone for the foreseeable future. ❤️❤️❤️
Dave and Rachel have been reading too, when my crying hasn’t interrupted them!

There are days throughout the year that I celebrate, which are not tied to a date on the calendar— the first laundry hanging day of the year, the first day I make Applesauce Jumbles and Cranberry tea and enjoy a Hallmark Christmas movie, the first yard work day of the spring — days like that.
Today I celebrated Buying My Fall Mums (and other fall plants)! I am ridiculously happy today!!!
What non-calendar days do you celebrate? I can always add more joy to my life! 🤣🤣🤣 by @tashajk72

We had the most fun this morning walking through the sunflower field, picking our own flowers, and picking apples! Thanks @downeysapplefarm for such a dreamy morning! How soon can we come back?!?!

August has been filled with soaking up all those small summer moments. It’s also had the continuous excitement of watching grass grow! 🤣🤣🤣

We had the most fun yesterday touring @blackfox_farm! Their orchards, their flower gardens, their whiskey aged OUTSIDE in Saskatchewan’s climate — it was all so beautiful and interesting! Just the kind of local discovery tour I really love. And the complimentary drink didn’t hurt either! 🤣🥂🍹🥂🤣

Saskatchewan 2026, thus far:
Celebrating being together; lots of bird watching; picking Saskatoon berries; spotting buffalo; mixing up new drinks; cruising the South Saskatchewan River; lots of laughter and memories being made!
PS. Yes, Sam returned from camp with a new haircut! 🤣🤣🤣

Dave and I took advantage of some kid free time to celebrate our anniversary (belatedly) with a little more pizazz! We stopped at IKEA (after listening to a fascinating podcast about IKEA’s beginnings), enjoyed a celebratory supper, and then laughed along with &Juliet! What a hilarious, fun musical!!! by @tashajk72
