2012 throwback 😱

Found some old published work with Camelot / The National Lottery. Athlete Jenny Meadows was lovely to work with, she had abs of steel!

Harry was about 9 months old when we shot this. Power feeding before and after these long studio days 🐄🐄🐄😅

Some of my old mates will remember this jacket too...... it went with "all of my orange shoes" 🤣🧡🧡

Throwback Thursday ✨️

A story behind the photo.
A Dolcis footwear photoshoot in the early 2010s. We had about 9 shots in a beautifully quirky home @theretrobungalow .... the styling brief being 1960s/1970s.

I absolutely loved this hair and makeup brief. I often only had around 10 minutes to creat a new look between shots and outfit changes.

We got to use my gold turban headband with this particular outfit, I still have it somewhere, in my store of fancydress delights 😂

🌿 Back to the foundations

We welcomed a new beginner to MyBC, creating a beautiful opportunity to return to the fundamentals of our practice.

We covered the foundations of movement, balance and core, allowing our new member to ease into the class with confidence and understanding. For our regulars, it was a gentle reminder of the roots of the practice — revisiting the basics and noticing how they support and enhance the more advanced movements we’ve developed over the past few months.

Sometimes, coming back to the fundamentals is where we find the most awareness, strength and connection.

Balance helps prevent falls, improves confidence, and allows us to move through daily life with greater ease. Good balance makes everyday tasks, from climbing stairs to walking on uneven ground, feel safer and more comfortable.

Mobility/ movement keeps our joints healthy and our bodies moving freely. Maintaining mobility helps reduce stiffness, improves posture, makes everyday activities easier, and allows us to continue enjoying the things we love for longer.

Core strength is about much more than having strong abdominal muscles. A strong core supports the spine, improves posture, protects the back, enhances balance, and makes almost every movement—from lifting shopping bags to getting out of a chair—more efficient.
