Happy 2 months to our stinky boy!! Life has been so much sweeter and so much fun with you in it. It’s so fun to watch you grow and learn new things every day. We are so proud of you. Some of your favorite things currently are: Milky by a long shot, Dada, Mama, Rufus licks, going outside, walks with the family, holding your head up, tooting & blowouts, football weekends, and lots of cuddles.

Happy birthday to my favorite person, my safe place, and the absolute love of my life.

I thought I loved you as much as humanly possible, but watching you become a dad to our sweet baby boy has completely rewritten everything. No one really prepares you for the magic of watching your husband step into fatherhood seeing the way you soften, trade sleep for late-night moments, and hold our world so gently.

On the hardest days, you are the calm in my chaos and the steady hand that keeps me afloat. You are my 90% when I’m running on 10%, always making life lighter and better just by being in it.

They say the universe gives us sons because the world needs more good men like the ones we love and every single day, I get to watch our boy learn what a truly good, selfless man looks like just by looking up to you. What a great man, what a devoted husband, and what a naturally incredible dad.

Thank you for being our rock and for loving us the way you do. We love you far beyond what words could ever express.

Creating life is pure power, and I wanted photos that felt just as strong and bold as this journey has been. I wanted to do something empowering to celebrate what my body was capable of doing. I loved this season so much and the magic of carrying this sweet boy. Being JJ’s mama is the absolute greatest privilege.

To the body that grew him, the strength that carried him, and the sweet soul that made me a mother—I’m forever changed.

Note to self: Have your besties & family throw you the dreamiest baby shower, and your baby will take it as their official invitation! 🥹 Next morning, we were off to the hospital! August 10th at 3:36 PM, our lives changed forever. 🤍

Our sweet boy, John Jack Dawson, “JJ”, decided he couldn’t wait any longer and unexpectedly made his arrival 6 weeks early at 34 weeks he was 5lbs 3oz! A birth story I haven’t quite found the words to explain let alone process yet but so yet beautiful at the same time. I went in for a check Sunday morning after some concerns I had Saturday and got admitted finding out my water had broken. Meds were started Sunday evening and JJ was born Monday afternoon and we got a few sweet moments after birth but due to his age he had to go straight to NICU. Ky got to go up with him after he was born and he exceeded every challenge that was given to him. They kept referring to him as the perfect baby and they hadn’t ever seen a babe excel at his rate for his age. He passed all his tests, test after test. After a week in the NICU recovering and growing stronger, we are finally HOME as a family of 3 and couldn’t be happier. We are so proud to be his Mom & Dad🤍😭

To our incredible friends and family: we will truly never be able to thank you enough. Coming home 6 weeks ahead of schedule meant we hadn’t even finished our birth class, let alone prepped the nursery or got the house ready. You all stepped in, took over, and turned our place into the safest, most cozy haven for our little guy to come home to. We are forever indebted to our village- we couldn’t have done this without you. by @tashhhpoint0

Lessons learned from 2025:
•Slow down when life asks you to.
•Let go of what no longer feels like home.
•Protect your peace, even when it’s uncomfortable.
•Celebrate the small wins-they add up.
•I watched best friends fall in love and get married.
•Not everything needs a reaction.
•Life can change without warning, and sometimes it takes someone you love far too soon.
•I learned that joy and grief can exist at the same table, and neither cancels the other out.
•I remembered again that love doesn’t disappear when people leave; it stays, it changes, it shapes us.
•It taught me to cherish the quiet moments, the laughs that come easily, the time spent with friends and family because those are the moments that matter most.
•The right people will meet you where you are.
•Growth isn’t loud, but it’s powerful.
•I’m grateful for the memories, the growth, and the people who walked beside me through it all.
•Girls nights are still a nonnegotiable
•Stepping forward with a tender heart, deeper love, and so much hope for what’s ahead.
•And most importantly, I’m stronger than I ever gave myself credit for.
