Chef, restaurateur, animateur télé… Chuck Hughes porte plusieurs chapeaux, mais c’est avant tout sa passion pour la cuisine qui traverse chacune de ses aventures 🫡Quand il a ouvert le @gardemangermtl , après des mois de travail acharné, il n’arrivait pas à croire qu’il devait déjà recommencer un autre service😂 20 ans plus tard, il dit pourtant ne pas avoir vu le temps passer. Il recommencerait demain matin sans hésiter, porté par la même passion qu’au premier jour 🫰Depuis, le Garde Manger est devenu une véritable institution montréalaise, une adresse qui a su traverser les années sans jamais perdre ce qui fait sa force : sa constance et son authenticité.Pour souligner les 20 ans du restaurant, on a jasé avec Chuck de son parcours, des moments qui l’ont façonné et de sa vision de la restauration. In 2024, the team behind @vinmonlapin opened their second restaurant: @rotisserie.lalune 🐔 In Quebec, rotisseries are more than restaurants, they’re part of the culture. The team behind one of the best Japanese restaurants in Montreal (@fleurs_cadeaux) just opened a new spot right next door. Meet Café Cadence, a Japanese-inspired coffee @cadence.cafe.mtl ❤️‍🔥The egg shio pan (a must!!!) 🤌The space is beautiful too: warm, with subtle retro touches and a stunning long communal table right in the center. It feels really unique 💖The food is excellent (no surprise here🤭) Mostly comforting dishes like ramen, sandos, egg shio pan, plus sweet treats like caramel flan and anpan (the anpan is also a must!!)🙂‍↕️👏 Hojicha!!The cold ramen 🍜 by @tastet.ca

On a jasé avec l’une des femmes les plus inspirantes de la gastronomie québécoise : Cheryl Johnson @cheryljohnson333 🥹❤️Figure incontournable de notre scène culinaire, elle a contribué à façonner ce qu’est la cuisine québécoise d’aujourd’hui. C’est pendant ses 9 années au Toqué! qu’elle a rencontré son meilleur ami et partenaire d’affaires, Charles-Antoine Crête. Ensemble, ils forment un duo devenu iconique et ont donné naissance à Montréal Plaza et Juliette Plaza, deux des tables les plus marquantes de la province. @montrealplaza @julietteplaza Merci, Cheryl pour tout ce que tu apportes à notre gastronomie 🫶 by @tastet.ca

Les terrasses près de l’eau >>> 🤌🌊Une vue sur le fleuve, une cuisine qui vaut le détour, un verre bien frais et juste assez de soleil pour avoir envie d’y rester des heures.
