It’s been a loooong, long, LONG time since I’ve done one of these intros… so hey 👋 let’s catch up.

I’m Tausha — I recently started declaring that I am CEO of Making You Look Awesome, I am a hype woman with a camera, and lighting expert. If I can't find good light… I create it. 💁🏻‍♀️💡

When I’m not behind the camera helping real people and bold brands own the damn room, I’m wife to my favorite human and mom to Atlas — my almost-seven-year-old source of wild joy, snack crumbs, and spontaneous dance breaks.

My husband is an introvert.

Big groups, small talk, “so what does your wife do?” energy… not really his thing.

But don’t mistake that for him not hyping me up. He is, hands down, my biggest cheerleader. He just does it differently than most people expect.

He doesn’t launch into my resume. He doesn’t explain in detail the headshots, the branding shoots, the commercial work…

He just says, “Google her.”

Two words. Completely confident. Conversation over.

Because he doesn’t need to oversell me. He already knows what’s waiting when someone actually looks. Years of showing up behind the camera, and just as much time showing up behind the business, so my name and my work are actually there to find.

Atlas turned 8 on June 25th and my dad was there to see it.

A few months ago, that wasn’t something I could say for certain. We went through a stretch where we genuinely didn’t know if my dad was going to make it to this birthday, and there is nothing that puts life in perspective faster than that kind of fear.

So this year, every photo of the two of them together means something different to me.

My dad, who has spent Atlas’s whole life showing up for him, showing him how to be curious about the world, how to be steady and kind.

My son, who is somehow already 8, still the same sweet, brilliant, big hearted boy who has taught me more than I ever expected to learn from my own kid.

I am not taking this one for granted. Grateful doesn’t even cover it.

Happy birthday, Atlas. And thank you, God, for more time with my dad. by @taushadickinson

The past few months I have been shedding and shedding and shedding and rearranging most of my life. Most of the process has been brutal and completely un-fun and some of it pure bliss.

I’m still morphing into the next version of me. She’s in there somewhere…

A relaxed set is a non-negotiable. We enforce it aggressively.

Ten subjects. Ten distinct locations inside @themanningnashville

A crew that keeps the energy high and the light intentional at every stop.

This is what a full magazine production day actually looks like.

Collaborative, a little chaotic, and completely worth it.

For photographers: this is what directing really means. Ten different people, ten different relationships with the camera. You read the room. You read the person. You adjust every single time.

For clients: this is exactly why I bring the energy I bring. The camera picks up everything. Might as well make it fun. Even if the singing is a little subpar. “Baby Come Back” was not on the shot list. It showed up anyway.

The kind of photoshoot energy that makes you forget there is even a camera.

From newsroom sets, to charity parties with Kid Rock singing in the background, to personal branding sessions that turn into full blown hype moments… these are the shoots that make me fall in love with photography over and over again.

I am manifesting more of this in 2026. More laughter. More looseness. More of those in between moments that say everything without trying.

Lately I’ve been craving work that doesn’t need to perform.
No brief. No deliverables. No pressure.

Just showing up, paying attention, and making something for the pure joy of it.

These were captured at @jonnycreative @imagingusa workshop last weekend, and it was exactly the reminder I needed. To slow down. To trust my eye. To photograph because I love it, not because I’m supposed to.

I’m making space for a lot more of this in 2026. Getting back to my roots. Creating freely. Letting curiosity lead.

And if you’re a photographer looking to grow creatively, I can’t recommend Jonny Edwards enough. His workshops are thoughtful, intentional, and deeply inspiring. Truly one of the best in the game.
