And one day I’ll look back and say to my little one, look what we did. Together. You and me 🤍

This one feels extra special. Extra emotional. Extra meaningful. Making BC Business Women of the Year has always been on my bucket list. But never in my wildest dreams did I think it would happen in the next decade, yet alone while taking my first steps into motherhood. Entering this new chapter has been the most beautiful, rewarding experience, and it almost seems like the stars had it planned from the beginning that this award and celebrating 13 years of uplifting the next generation, would fall inline within weeks of me bringing my own child into this world.

To my village, my cheerleaders, my support system and community. This award is a reflection of all of us. A reflection of what happens when we rise by lifting others.

To my parents and brother who have shaped who I am today — I’ll forever be inspired by your work ethic and unwavering dedication to family. My roots run deep because of you.

To my husband @zacharyjamesdabrowski — you have been by my side from the beginning, supporting my wildest dreams while pushing me to grow. You’ve brought joy to the centre of everything I do. I wouldn’t be where I am today without you.

Women are the strongest force of nature I’ve ever seen. And these powerful award recipients I stand beside in this issue demonstrate that. What an absolute honour.

Thank you BC Business Magazine for this opportunity and recognition. And to @woo.selena for seeing the heart I’ve put in behind @beayoutiful_org and all the lives I hope it continues to impact ❤️

4 months (and 9 days) of Richie Mei ❤️
She continues to be the most joyful human we know, waking up with a big smile and open arms, ready to take on the day ahead with love.

She had her first belly laugh.
Loves splashing in the bath.
Has figured out how to roll — and somehow crawl her way off the play mat.
Does not appear to be camera shy.
She still resists naps because we can’t miss the party or latest gab obviously.
She loves a dance party and dad’s singing.
She slept the entire first road trip with the windows fully down (maximum wind is a must).
Her first out of town sleepover with the grandparents was a success!
She’s a girls girl through and through, but so dearly adores her dad.
And as if she knew her 4 month birthday arrived — her first tooth appeared on the exact day, and all the drool that comes along with it.

What a blessing. To love this little human more and more each day.

There were so many big moments this weekend. I’ve always had a dream to bring my child one day to Inspired By HER and witness the magic of this community. To feel celebrated and seen for exactly as they are. To have my daughter not only experience her first @inspiredbyherconference, but do so alongside my family in Saskatoon — it felt surreal.

Richie’s smile says it all 🥹 We laughed, we danced, we made new friends, and we did it with a sold out event for the first time in this city. You could feel the electric energy in the room thanks to our empowering guest speakers, incredible mentors and beaming attendees. There were so many pinch me moments.

My mom grew up in Saskatoon and it’s always held a special place in my heart visiting family throughout my childhood. I know my grandma was right there with us, smiling and dancing as three generations came together to celebrate a day of self-love with @beayoutiful_org.

To our amazing guest speakers who travelled near and far for the event — @woo.selena, @claraeaton, Jenna Mulherin, and Farica Prince — thank you for bringing your incredible energy and fearlessness to our attendees, inspiring them to be their most authentic selves and find it through movement and friendship. You are an inspiration and paving a path for a next generation to lead fearlessly!

To the entire BeaYOUtiful leadership team and mentors who brought together this impactful day so effortlessly — @marica.morales, @hollybiird and @blackberrytrees — I couldn’t do without you (and can’t wait to do it again next weekend in Vancouver!).

When I first imagined hosting our Reflections long table dinner in Toronto, it was an overwhelming goal that seemed quite distant. To fill a room in a different city half way across the country? It took a while to even wrap my mind around the possibility. Doing it in Vancouver was already a surreal experience but hosting it in Toronto seemed that much more of a reach.

But when you put your wildest dreams out into the universe, you have to trust that the right people will walk through the door. And my goodness, these women didn’t just walk, they knocked the door down with passionate force and helped bring the vision to life 🥹

Last week we had a room full of women showing up for the next generation — and it exceeded everything I’d hoped for. We raised over $37,000. Had over 200 girls get pledged through our confidence programming. And we did it together.

I don’t say this lightly: pulling off a night like this is a huge accomplishment, and it’s one that belongs to every single person who believed in it. To our donors and sponsors, thank you for turning belief into real, lasting impact. To every guest who joined us, thank you for filling that room with warmth, energy, and heart.

But the moment I’ll carry with me forever was watching Princess take the mic and share her story. A young girl, standing in front of a room full of women, speaking with a courage that silenced the whole space. That is exactly why BeaYOUtiful exists. She reminded all of us what confidence looks like…and what we’re building it for.

I’m still glowing. And I’m more certain than ever that this is only the beginning.

She’s found her voice, continues to grow her love for being a social butterfly, and can’t get enough of morning cuddles. Her smile is constant. Her joy is infectious.

Here’s the thing about me: I’m a sucker for party-planning. I live for this. Gathering people, building an energy, watching a rooftop turn into a room full of connection… it lights me up. And is nothing I love more than bringing people together for something that will have a lasting impact on our next generation 💛 Golden Hour happened — our first-ever rooftop soirée for @beayoutiful_org — was a sold out event and my heart is so full (thinking we should make this an annual fundraiser?).

I also have a favorite little ritual during these events. At some point, I sneak away for 60 seconds and I take it all in from the back corner or a random nook. One quiet moment to soak up what we built before diving back into the beautiful chaos. That pause is everything and a grounding reminder to soak in the joy and remember the why.

Every single person and sponsor who showed up helped fund confidence and mental wellness programming for girls and non-binary youth across Canada. You made that happen just by being there.

To everyone who came, glowed, donated and even danced with us — thank you. Let’s do it again. 🥂
