I found this spot and had a hunch there was a couple good ones hiding there. Finally had a chance to go see for myself. There was indeed a couple good ones hiding there. 📸 - @lpoutdoors by @tayphills

Fly fishing terrestrials is here! This is a killer little dry fly that has enough foam to support a tungsten weighted nymph. We like the mini for early terrestrial fishing and it can also mimic a beetle or stonefly.

Just had the best few days of trout fishing I’ve experienced so far. Caught a bunch of really nice fish including the largest one I’ve caught yet Friday evening, and then Saturday morning @maxwellhaydon33 caught his PB brown from my raft. Thankfull to tango with so many nice browns in such a short period of time. Fishing is good right now get out and fish you can’t catch fish from the couch. @rootriverrodco taken in Lanesboro, Minnesota by @tayphills

Feels like summer out there and the trout are feeling it to. The trout are now starting to slow down during the hottest part of the day. Fly fishing during mornings and evenings is best. It’s time to start bringing a thermometer and check river temps during the day. Follow for more info. by @tayphills
