POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Dear Zahira, With Love by @gargsachin is a deeply emotional story about Zahira and Ghulam, two souls whose love is torn apart by the India Pakistan Partition. Told through their letters, every word carries so much love, longing, and pain. What makes their story even more heartbreaking is knowing that the distance between them wasnโ€™t simply a matter of miles, but a border that changed lives, separated families, and left scars that lasted for generations.

Every letter made us think about love in a different way. โ€œWhat is love if not exchanging letters?โ€ โ€œWhat is love if you canโ€™t make yourself believe in it?โ€ There is something incredibly intimate about watching their relationship unfold through words, especially as they hold on to each other despite years of waiting, distance, uncertainty, and sacrifice.

Our hearts especially broke for Zahira, raising Zubeida alone through so much struggle, and for everything Ghulam and the refugees in Lahore had to endure. We also adored Naani, who, despite the era she lived in, felt surprisingly modern in the way she believed in Zahiraโ€™s independence.

This book genuinely shattered us. It made us feel the weight of Partition beyond the history books, showing how a single line drawn on a map could change the course of peopleโ€™s lives forever. And perhaps the most devastating part is realizing that 79 years later, the political hatred and divisions that caused so much pain still persist.

By the end, we werenโ€™t just thinking about Zahira and Ghulamโ€™s love. We were left with questions, emotions, and little pieces of their story that stayed with us long after we finished reading. A heartbreaking and beautiful story of love, separation, resilience, and the hope of finding your way back to the person who feels like home. ๐Ÿค

โ€œThe moon doesnโ€™t need to shine to be striking. It all depends on how you look at it.โ€ย

Swiping through some of my favorite highlighted quotes from this gorgeous story. The way this book plays with moonlight, reflections, and finding beauty in the shadows is just so special.ย

I have mixed feelings about this one.

It started off feeling more like horror than a thriller, and while the suspense and twists were definitely strong, I didnโ€™t always get that satisfying thriller experience I was hoping for. A few things felt unnecessary and pulled me out of the story at times.

That said, the writing style? Absolutely loved it. Especially the letters. I highlighted so many lines and even picked up quite a few new words along the way. ๐Ÿฅน

The twists did keep me guessing, and the ending definitely caught me off guard โ€” but overall, I think this could have been tighter. by @tbr.n.beyond

The Cafeฬ Across Carter Road by Yash Gadade was such an enjoyable read! What I loved most about the whole plot was how real it felt. There wasnโ€™t a single element that felt like it couldnโ€™t happen in real life.

What instantly drew me in was the sheer attention to detailโ€”those small, everyday things we usually overlook, captured so beautifully. Plus, the writing featured such an interesting choice of words.

I also loved Adiโ€™s character and how observant he is, especially while sitting at Marine Drive noticing the tiny actions of people around him. The connections between the characters were wonderful, and the cute little drawings scattered throughout describing Adi and Fatima added such a sweet touch.

As a fun side note: right at the beginning, I noticed on the cover that the book sitting on the table is actually the authorโ€™s previous book! Then, around 30% in, I realized the previous bookโ€™s name was smartly woven directly into the story. Honestly, top-tier marketing! ๐Ÿ‘

From their very first meeting and Adiโ€™s first interaction with Baa, to the distance between them and the realistic reaction of Adiโ€™s father, every moment felt grounded and deeply relatable.

I truly enjoyed this story from start to finishโ€”and I honestly cannot wait for Part 2! โ˜•โœจ

This was such a stunning, comforting storyโ€”I absolutely loved reading it! Between the Sea, the Moon, and the Stars by Micaela Gandullo completely blew me away with its writing. The metaphors throughout are used so seamlessly that I found myself re-reading lines over and overโ€”not because they were hard to get, but simply because they were written so naturally and beautifully.

The slow-burn romantic tension between Eron and Lyra builds up so well toward the end, and I was rooting for them from page one. Beyond the romance, the book captures the real pressures of being a teenager so accurately, like Eron being caught between love and friendship, or balancing his fatherโ€™s business expectations against his true passion for painting. The portrayal of female friendships and school rumors felt especially authentic to me. Having been through rumors during my own school days, I could feel exactly what Lyra was feeling in those moments. Itโ€™s such a common experienceโ€”thereโ€™s almost always that one girl in every batch who starts that kind of drama! I really, truly enjoyed this story. ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿซถ

"It seems as if you see me exactly as I wish to be seen. There is no greater gift than that."

This short epistolary story packs such a huge emotional punch. Taylor Jenkins Reid captures grief, betrayal, and unexpected solace in letters so raw they feel almost too intimate to read. โœ‰๏ธ๐Ÿฅ€

If you haven't read this short story yet, it's a quick 1-hour read that will stay with you long after the final letter.

"By you, I am forever undone."

Rereading these quotes reminded me why Jude and Cardan will always hold a permanent spot in the dark fantasy hall of fame. The banter, the absolute tension, and the way they slowly unarm each other... Holly Black gave us such a satisfying conclusion to The Folk of the Air trilogy. โœจ๐Ÿ–ค
