Today, on National Seniors Day, TB WEST Community Services celebrates the seniors who continue to strengthen, inspire and enrich our communities.

Through our intergenerational programming this year, we’ve had the opportunity to bring seniors and youth together to connect, learn from one another, share experiences and build meaningful relationships across generations.

These moments remind us that when generations come together, everyone has something to teach, something to learn and something to contribute.

Thank you to the seniors who have shared their time, knowledge and experiences with our youth and our community.

Happy National Seniors Day! 🇨🇦

Today, we honour the children, families, Survivors, and communities impacted by the residential school system.

On National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, one of our youth shares a message about the importance of learning, listening, remembering, and moving forward together.

A BIG THANK YOU TO JAYS CARE FOUNDATION!

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Jays Care Foundation for inviting our kids and youth to participate in the All-Star Series at Rogers Centre!
Our young participants had an incredible opportunity to step onto the field, take part in interactive baseball activities, build their skills, connect with other young people, and experience what it feels like to be an All-Star.

Opportunities like this create memories that go far beyond the game. They give young people a chance to try something new, build confidence, have fun, and feel a true sense of belonging.

Thank you to the entire Jays Care team for welcoming our TB West participants and for continuing to create meaningful and inclusive opportunities for children and youth across our communities.

We are grateful to be part of such a special experience!

Thank you, Jays Care Foundation!

This summer, TB West Community Services had the opportunity to bring a series of dance workshops to Loretto College School, engaging over 120 girls through movement, creativity and connection.

Led by talented artist Amanda Videla, the workshops gave participants the opportunity to explore dance, express themselves, build confidence and connect with one another in a positive and supportive environment.

We’re proud to continue creating spaces where girls can be active, creative and empowered while building lasting memories together.

A special thank you to Amanda Videla for sharing her talent, energy and passion with the girls, and to Loretto College School for helping make this series possible!

Bridging Generations Through Digital Literacy

Our intergenerational youth and seniors event brought generations together for an afternoon of learning, conversation and connection!

Our youth had the opportunity to take the lead, helping seniors build their confidence using social media while discussing important topics such as online scams, privacy, misinformation and staying safe while connecting with others online.

It was great to see young people sharing their knowledge and seniors sharing their experiences — proving that learning can go both ways across generations.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this meaningful community event possible!
