Another from the team who competed at @icnnewzealand Nationals a few weeks back if the amazing @kat_miller_palatchie !

While Kat and I only started working together after the South Island Classic this year, we have considered her part of the team for the last few seasons now as she is a good friend of a lot of the team, especially those in the military!

As all of my military clients are, Kat is a pleasure to work with and does everything asked of her to the highest level, and never misses a beat with anything.

Kat experienced some health issues throughout her prep this year which led to a few surgeries , however she still had no excuses and showed up and got it done!

With the time frame we had, all we could really focus on is getting leaner during this period, however after years of competing in both sports model and Wellness, we have completely personalised and specified her programming towards the Wellness class now , which is the class I think best suits her physique. This means bringing her upper body down and legs and glutes up, with upper body only being trained once a fortnight and food volume higher on all lower body sessions, and focus being on perfect execution in the main lifts along with pushing herself to true failure and of course progression.

Super happy with the look she brought to Nationals, massive improvements already and can’t wait to see how she transforms over the next off season!

Well done Kat!

@alextomlinsonnn concluded her first bodybuilding a few weeks back at the @icnnewzealand Nationals!

This was Alex’s second show after making her debut at the ICN North Island Champs earlier this year.

We started working together in February, and Alex impressed by being able to get on top of everything required of her super quickly, having never done any of this before!

Training was personalised to help her physique develop towards the figure class, and everything was performed with excellent execution , progressed week to week and pushed to failure , especially with the help of @commit2bfitwithnik !

Nutrition plan was adhered to always , cardio was completed, posing was worked on , supplements taken, check ins completed sometimes multiples a day especially as we got closer, and no matter how hard things got or how much stress there was in other aspects of life , Alex always got everything asked of her done to the best of her ability.

We didn’t originally plan to do Nationals this year, however after doing North Islands, Alex fully committed to nationals and was able to bring a much more conditioned package to the stage.

She is already hard back at work in her health phase, where we will slowly bring food back up, decrease cardio output and ramp up training as the variables and data allow week to week, before starting her first proper off season in prep for shows next season!

Pleasure to be part of your journey Alex and looking forward to seeing you grow! Super proud of you and excited for what’s to come!

Congrats to @staceypuddy who competed at the @icnnewzealand Nationals last weekend, her first nationals and our third show working together since starting last year!

Training along side @commit2bfitwithnik at @waiweight , Stacey made some awesome improvements to her physique since her showing at the ICN Hawkes Bay in 2025.

Although she isn’t a huge eater, Stacey spent a good amount of time in a surplus, fuelling her training and getting her body in a better spot to start a weight loss phase. The muscularity improvements were obvious at her regional showing, and the main goal between regionals was to bring her conditioning in as tight as possible, which meant a hard few months were ahead ,but as always, she did everything asked of her and more and resulted in her best look yet!

Proud of the improvements you were able to make this season Stacey, and thankyou for always training as hard as you can, sticking to the nutrition plan, checking in on time, communicating well and giving your all to this despite all your other responsibilities!

Stacey will continue to train hard and eat and hopefully we see her back up there, even better than ever , in years to come!

Well done Stacey! Thankyou for having me part of your journey to the stage yet again, always a pleasure to work with! Up the Bush!

Huge congratulations to @rikoditmer who placed 🥈in Woman’s Bodybuilding and 4th in the inaugural Woman’s Bodybuilding Gold Class at the @icnnewzealand Nationals held in Auckland last weekend!

It has been a very successful year for Riko! After winning the overall at the ICN South Islands and winning her pro card and the INBA show a few weeks later, followed by her success here at nationals and her best look yet!

Riko and I only started working together 4 weeks before her first show of the year! The amount she has been able to change in the time frame is a direct reflection of the how hard she has worked, and the level of detail and attention she gives to everything asked of her, every variable, every day. She has made my job super easy, is a pleasure to work with, has the best attitude and her genuine passion for the sport is so infectious!

We know what needs to be done in order to keep improving and Riko leaves no stone unturned- I can’t wait to see her continue to improve now that we have more time up our sleeves and can have a proper reverse and health period into a productive off season before starting prep next year.

Another client showing that age is just a number. Don’t limit yourself. You never know what can be achieved with the right mindset, and the right team behind you!
@benditmer thankyou for supporting her in chasing her dreams!

Also- quickly shoutout to the rest of the Woman’s Bodybuilders! Huge classes with great standard, so cool to see this class get the recognition it deserves! Thankyou Brenda and Andy and your team for making this happen!

Watch this space! 2027 is going to be a huge year for Riko! taken in Bruce Mason Theatre by @teamambitionnz

ICN Nationals Comp ‘26’ done and dusted, and wow what a ride to get there. Two minor surgeries, increase in workload and just life in general to get to the stage. Every year we are learning more lessons. New aims, new training, and new wants for next year. You never know how much time you have. Remember do what makes you happy because no one else is paying your bills. taken in Bruce Mason Theatre by @teamambitionnz
