Hill climb season has truly started. Not my forte, but always fun to give them a good wack. With nationals this year being local and 4miles long. It's something to aim for and finish the season with. With the goal to beat my best placing of 55th a couple of years ago when it was up the Struggle.

So far 11th at Porlock toll road open (same as course as nationals) which I went out hard and suffer in the 2nd half.
Followed by Zig Zag run by @aeroclctv where I can away with 6th with 3rd in a mixed team with @prontobikesraceteam. Not quite the best legs, but a course with a bit of everything and emptied the tank. Which I'll definitely return next year to.

Only X2 races left of the season for next. National circuit champs at Thruxton (aka the best racing circuit in the UK) and the national hill climb at Porlock. Let's get it!

Chippenham and Wheelers District Open 10 🏆

A very close finish with a very strong ride from my minute man which definitely focused the mind! Legs feeling fresh after a little wind down towards end of the season, good to get back out again!

@king_of_the_lake_attersee 5th place Elite Queen 👸

What a cool event! 47.2km of the smoothest tarmac on closed roads around Lake Attersee 🇦🇹 official time 1.05.45 🚀

Genuinely had no expectations going into this and wasn’t even sure if I belonged in the Elite category but really happy to have placed in the top 5 out of 25. Already thinking of where I could improve for next time…

Shoutout to @sportstreicher for helping me with some last-minute setup adjustments 🫶

Austria, I’ll be back.

WORLD CHAMPION!!!! 💫🏆✨

Fastest swim and bike of the day to take the overall win, first female at the World Triathlon Championship Finals for Standard Distance Aquabike. 💫

I dared to dream that i could achieve this, before i'm definitely too old, and for the last 13 months (since i qualified) @bottrillmatthew and i have worked relentlessly to nail EVERYTHING. I am so blessed that i get to work so closely with SUCH a LEGEND! ✨

I'm also so lucky to have goals that i love working towards, and to have so many people help me along the way. Special shout out to my nearest and dearest OBVS and to 4 people who have been instrumental:

@headfirstsportingmind for helping me turn my absolute c*nt of an inner voice into a Level 7 All Star cheerleader. 🎉

@southwestswimcoaching who has been with me every step of the way on my obsessive quest for textbook technique. 🧜‍♀️

My hero @sirilindley for showing me all of the tools and lighting the way- the number of times i ask myself what would Siri say- especially around races- is almost infinite! Thank you so much for EVERYTHING! ❤️

And OF COURSE, AS EVER, my PHENOMENAL coach @bottrillmatthew WEEE FUUUCCCKKKING DIIIIIID IT!! THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH!! #DREAMTEAM 🤩

Injury cleared thanks to the work done with @origin_health_group .

Getting back to some work keeping the body moving, using this extra time to work on areas of weakness.

Not sure what the plan looks like for next year, but right now. Just enjoying the exercise is enough.

Unfortunately, I won't be competing in Ironman Wales this year. Last week, I decided to withdraw because of a glute injury.

I've been fortunate to avoid injuries for the past six years, but even though this is a minor one, it was enough to disrupt my training for Wales. I'd rather not have my first long run be the marathon at the end of what's likely the toughest Ironman in the world. Hopefully, I'll have the opportunity to participate in a different year.

Sadly, this concludes my 2026 triathlon season, as there aren't any other suitable races left on the calendar that I could register for on short notice. I want to thank my friends, coach, family, and team for all their support throughout the year.

Laura Davies 3rd 21:47
Laura Pittard 9th 23:05
Sam Howard 12th 23:14

It's been a cracking season with these lads. Another great weekend at the National 10TT, coming away with 10th and continuing my three-year streak of top-10 finishes at every National.

The National 10TT always attracts the best riders in the UK, and this year was probably the most stacked field I've raced in for years. After finishing 2nd last year, I knew it was going to be tough to match that result, but I gave it everything.

Even better, we took the team prize for the third year running with @tomleecycling and @dylan_rg04. @sarge.jaco wasn't far behind either after absolutely smashing the National 12hr the week before.

A huge thank you to the Lee family for hosting us last weekend — and for the mega chilli 😂

As always, I wouldn't be able to consistently put out these performances without the careful guidance of @bottrillmatthew. And an extra boost from Matt shouting at us from the sidelines never goes amiss!

On to the next one 💪

CTT National 10 🏁

Has been a good few weeks of settling into more of a rhythm with training and recovery again, which is starting to show in how the legs are feeling! Looking at the start list I thought anything within the top 10 in such a stacked field would be a pretty solid ride, so was chuffed to come joint 9th and help contribute to the team award for the @teambottrill women’s team! 🏆 Epic rides as always from Emily and Laura.

Some moments of legs feeling really good again, but quite a rough surface in places which made it challenging to stay consistently there for the whole ride! But overall happy with the direction of how it’s all feeling!

Haven’t managed to find any photos but big thank you also to @didcotphoenixcc for a fabulous Open 10 TT last weekend too 😀

Thank you to @teambottrill for the help with everything! taken in Doncaster by @teambottrill

4th at the RTTC National 10 mile TT. I rode to try and win and gave it everything I had. But unfortunately, it wasn't to be.

This event has always been my number one aim for this outdoor season. Ever since Rambo mentioned the rumour of the Champs taking place here in 2026, I knew I wanted to defend my title on home turf.

I got out hard, skipped half a pedal stroke for the downhill bend to the left, kept central to avoid the potholes, then settled into my rythm. I kept far left towards the gravel and curb for the next section (as I'd found in training that the surface is slightly better here). I could hardly feel the familiar buzz of the poor road surface. Over the manhole cover and onto the smooth tarmac, then into the trees for the long chip and seal. I wasn't able to surge much for the bridge, but the power was great, sitting around my ambitious 450 W target.

I was 19 sec off the podium and 35 sec from the win, which is a fair chunk. But I know my return leg was far from optimal. I arrived at the roundabout to the dreaded sight of three queued cars ahead of me and a bus pulling out from the exit to the right. I just had to edure its agonisingly slow right turn, then get back on the gas for the return leg.

This was where I feel I messed up. Having lost time, and still aiming at the win, I dug deep to get back up to speed. Too deep. One minute at 500 W, which resulted in me going over the brink too early into the return. I still felt strong at that moment, which dimmed any warning signs that I was going too far into the red. But I soon found out I had, and my legs just couldn't push the power, so I'd fade for a few seconds before digging even deeper to keep trying - even if I was no longer fighting for the win. My position on the bike was all over the shop - compared to feeling rock solid on the way out. But I just had to keep fighting to the line. Seeing Matt and Rambo cheering me on from the side of the road, finish line in sight - keep digging. And it was done. Not the result I hoped for, but I know I couldn't have done anything more in my preparation for the event - and that's what I'm most proud of.
