Here’s a couple two tree exercises I have been doing lately with the olllleee 🆎 sling.

Weighted, I prefer to grab a med ball between my feet but you could also squeeze between your knees.

☝️Leg, the goal is to get my knees as high as possible without swinging/dying.

Knee raises, take your time and come all the way ⬇️ so you don’t swing too much/use too much momentum.

Throwing a box or bench behind you to stop you from swinging is also a nice thing.

Last weekend, two of my athletes competed alongside me at Apex in Boston. Both used to play sports in college (Taylor - D1 rower at Rutgers; Kenny - club rugby player at William Patterson and UMass). It had been a long while since Kenny had done this type of training and even longer for Taylor, so our goal coming in was to work on form and improve as much as possible in the two months we had from sign up to competition day. We didn’t have a vertec to train with so their verts are technically PRs since we have nothing to compare directly to.

Taylor improved her 40 from 6.264 to 6.037, added nearly 10 feet to her toss, added over a foot to her broad jump, and beat her best deadlift AMRAP from training by 5 reps.

Kenny got a minor hamstring strain two weeks before the competition, so we knew some numbers would be compromised. Even still, he managed to PR on his sprint, toss, broad jump, and crushed both his deadlift and bench AMRAPs. The heat did get to him by the time we arrived at the mile, but it was an all around phenomenal day.

I’m beyond proud of both them and amazed by their willingness to push hard with me to just see what our bodies can do. Get out of your comfort zone and try something new. Switch up that training for a bit, see what you are capable of! taken in Malden Catholic by @teamgpt

40 yd dash (1 yd lead) - 4.946s
Med Ball toss - 43’6” (8 lbs)
Broad jump - 8’7”
Vertical jump - 30.5”
Deadlift 405 lbs - 9 reps
Bench 225 lbs - 9 reps
Mile run - 7:11

1 impromptu ice bath

7 months post dog bite on my inner thigh
5 days hospitalized
24 days w/ 9 stitches in my leg
55 days until I was able to straighten my leg fully

If you told me then that I’d be able to put up this type of performance at the start of this year I would not have believed you. I am grateful to have a body and mind that allow me to push myself as hard as I can when I have a goal in mind.

Shoutout to everyone who I competed alongside, some absolute monsters out there. taken in Malden Catholic by @teamgpt

USAPL RAW NATIONALS 2026- When @stephen.milillo came to us 4 years ago, he told me he wanted to compete in and place at a national meet. He has spent the last 4 years juggling school, clinical hours, and some TOUGH training blocks. 5th in the nation, a 7/9 day with a squat PR, and the only thing stopping him from a deadlift PR was his thumb literally exploding. Incredibly proud of him. Let’s work.

S: 275kg/605lb(+2.5kg)
B: 145kg/319lb

God first always. Win or lose He will always get the glory🙏
....
Was not the day I had envisioned, training numbers leading up to this day did not translate onto the platform, and even though I took first, it's still a hard pill to swallow. Every one of us that steps onto that platform trains so hard for months in hopes that it will all come together on that one day, and we get 9 minutes to prove it. But you know what, that's just how it goes sometimes, no matter how much practice or work you put in, you won't make every shot you take, but you will miss every shot you don't take. I had to put ego aside so we would have a chance at winning. My coach @teamgpt saw early on that my full potential strength just wasn't there on the day, so we had to pivot and choose numbers that I could do, but would also keep me above water. It was a battle until the very end, and I am super greatful to take 1st place in a stacked weightclass of some of the strongest 90kg M1 ladies in the world. I also renewed my pro card by placing 13th by age dots out of over 200 masters lifters, but God🙏
I also want to say how grateful I am for this sport. I have met so many amazing people, many who I can call friends, even if we only see or talk to each other once a year🫶
Next on the agenda, Worlds in Nov, right coach?😬 But first I need lots of rest, I'm exhausted lol.
