Artist Spotlight 👾 @_djbenitez_

BENITEZ may be a familiar name for many of you snobs. He opened our inaugural St. Petersburg event last April, a warehouse night supporting a Dutch industrial headliner. Tonight, he returns in a different register: he takes the closing slot — the one that follows Lars and carries the room to the end.

His catalog documents how far he can travel. Releases across labels like Ondska and Vantablak mark the ground he covers, and a closing set is where the versatility pays off. BENITEZ is a loop mixer of rare patience, the kind who holds a single figure past the point of comfort and lets tension carry the weight. After a headliner, the craft is what holds a spent room to the final record.

A historic closing from BENITEZ. Expect an immersive and high energy set that resonates for years to come.

Artist Spotlight 👾 @vixxenia_

Vixxenia works the low-lit end of the spectrum, where hypnotic techno bleeds into atmospheric deep techno over a dark, insistent groove. Her sets move on tension and restraint, patient and deliberate, built to hold a room in suspension for as long as she desires.

Direct support is the most exacting slot — the set has to carry a room to full temperature and keep it there, handing the headliner an audience already taken by the night. The restraint it demands is already her signature. She plans to bring the floor to the brink and leave the rest in the hands of Huismann.

Artist Spotlight 👾 @romandj__

He has held a place in St. Pete’s underground for years, built on hypnotic rhythm and modular texture, the kind of patient construction that works a room while it fills. His ear sits in a niche territory of groove and hypnosis: carefully layered techno pulled from poetry and cinema, saturated and atmospheric, intense without ever tipping its hand.

He runs with Innate Rhythms, one of the sharper collectives in the city. Recent months have moved him into bigger rooms, and the growth is audible. His first set for Techno Snobs lands on a Lars Huismann night at The Nest, which is the kind of debut you don’t want to miss.

Lars Lands in the Bay 🛸

Berlin’s @l_huismann built his name on rhythm. A jazz drummer by training, he plays the machine like a kit, and his rise through techno’s serious labels has been quick, methodical, and ultimately, well-deserved.

Soma. Mutual Rytm. Monnom Black. “Embraced By Shadows” landed on Slam’s Soma in 2020. The “Sounds From The Past” trilogy anchored Mutual Rytm’s early catalogue in 2022. “Catharsis” followed in 2024, darker and heavier with the groove intact. His “Mechanized” EP on Monnom Black moved him fully into tribal techno, drum-driven and built for pressure.

The studio is only half of it. Huismann’s drummer instincts carry straight to the booth, where his mixing runs tight and physical. Few producers hold that command on both sides of the craft, especially with such a deliberately unique style, stance, and sound.

Next weekend he plays Tampa Bay for the first time. A first for the region, and one we’ve been waiting on.

For this event we have invited two techno veterans based out of Miami. @_aregone and @djprimbeats have releases on some of the most respected underground techno labels in the world. Their tracks receive plays from the biggest names in techno at the best techno clubs in the world. They are not only gifted techno DJs/producers, but also authentic, humble, and amazing humans. We are honored to bring them to St Petersburg, Florida on Friday 6/19/26 for a night of proper techno projected through a professional level sound and lighting system provided by @unicorntearssoundsystem .
