POSTS STORIES REELS

By popular request, a photo with both boys! These cool dudes sat like this for exactly the time it took me to open my camera app and snap.

🤟🏻I love these boys so much. I really need to share some of their antics with y’all.🤣

We are family!! Teddy and Buddy share 70% of their DNA & are close family (close like siblings or parent/child).

We adopted Teddy back in October 2020 from Providence Animal Center. We adopted Buddy 3 years later, in December 2023 from MLAR. They are both deaf and both have eye abnormalities, however Buddy is mostly blind. They are both estimated by the vet to be about 5 years old. Ted was estimated about 2 yrs old when we adopted him.

Of course we don’t know for sure if they are litter mates, but we do have an insider who is pretty confident that the two lovely deaf girls who were rescued with Buddy, who originally showed up on Teddy’s embark close family over a year before we adopted Buddy, are the sisters Buddy was saved with!

When we started really getting into Buddy’s story I thought his sisters looked really familiar but with a few photos you can’t be sure, and even if they were rescued together you really don’t know…now we know!

As much as all the relatives that these two boys have on embark (and in common of course) makes me happy because DNA is cool AF, but also makes me so sad that someone was breeding a lot of dogs, and so many of those dogs ended up on the streets and in the shelter system. My heart goes out to all the ones who didn’t make it or may still be in a ick situation.

Please keep advocating for your local shelters! And remember that Deaf and Blind dogs are only limited if you limit them!

This adoption DNA story is just wild to me, and I know you all wanted to share it too - so I made this silly reel out of the stories!

I know I don’t post enough. We have to always point out to each other that Beans lays down in the weirdest positions and I caught this little bean butt foot tuck last night and decided not to gate keep his cutiepatootie butt. by @teddy.n.buddybeans

Teddy is such a good garden helper! Haha, I rather him eat the ripe ones than the unripe and spit them back out, or the overripe split ones he cleared the bed of right before this. 🍅

It took Buddy Beans a hot minute before he became a sleep in bed dog but now…now it’s his favorite! Look at him being a lil snoozer at midday! Such a cutie. by @teddy.n.buddybeans

Buddy Beans say Happy Yule, Merry Merry. by @teddy.n.buddybeans

Buddy Beans had his 2 year gotcha day steak dinner celebration, with a side of sweet potatoes, green beans, cucumbers, and the last of the tomatoes I grew in my garden.

Thank you to all who work, volunteer, donate, foster, or adopt shelter dogs! Beans wouldn’t be here thriving without all of those people who had a hand in his rescue life. Especially thankful for @acctphilly & @mainlineanimalrescue.

(And before you ask, yes, Teddy had the same dinner!)

Also if you are able to- please try and help out your local shelters - they are all full and over capacity. If you can volunteer, foster, start a fundraiser, just sharing to raise awareness, anything you can do!! Start a donation drive for, newspapers, towels, or blankets… everything helps! by @teddy.n.buddybeans

Found the rare exotic beans hiding in the garden shade. He’s so adorable! by @teddy.n.buddybeans

My Beans sitting for a fresh bean from the garden!!

I know I haven’t been on here in a while, and I will try and start posting again.

But if I have your attention!! The phildadelphia shelters are so over capacity and all the rescue organizations need our help as well. Please think about applying to be a foster, or a volunteer, or maybe you have room in your life for a new furry friend and you can adopt!!

Please spread the word, donate, or just do what you can to help the animals in our community! by @teddy.n.buddybeans
