I love to watch how my reflection warps into rivulets of frames, tires, and limbs when I pass by cars on my bike. Never the same from car to car but day to day always the same feeling of seeing myself slowly change as the seasons turn. No single photograph could do the experience justice so it took a lot of slowing down and stopping to observe in order to gather enough reference material to replicate such a brief moment. The act of pausing in the rush of life to notice is something I think is so important for generating gratitude for the things you love. When you can do so, those things become forever yours to keep. Accompanying this piece is a poem/prayer, of the same title, that I worked on throughout the summer.

I've been pushing the geometry of light and shadow in my work recently and @mattlbollinger has been a huge source of inspiration for that.

Super excited to be showing this painting along with some others from the past year at the end of the month! Swipe for detail.

What a privilege it is to be known in all the seasons of our lives.

Two of my first friends in New York, Grant and Zoë, have been there for me through thick and thin. If you know either of them, you know how much they can make you laugh, what talking about everything and nothing at all is, and the depths of their generosity to listen and help you put things in perspective. I feel so lucky to call them my friends, to know them, and be known by them.

forever grateful to be surrounded by all this love. oasis.fm was such an incredible moment to be a part of and everyone who helped put it together and show out for it made it an unforgettable night.

it was an honor to show alongside the talent of @endlesssludge @aseemsuri @isholaa_ , dance to the grooves of @jakechulj @ian_locke @audreypeshkam @elinaarbo @blurry.cory , and be surrounded by friends.

and to @mauro_schenone and @jakechulj , the absolute masterminds behind @planetkudu , im so excited for what the future holds and i can't wait to go there together.

even if you missed the party you haven't missed your chance to see my lamps, Loved I & II. they wouldn't have been possible without the never ending support of my dad and mom<3 the installation will be on view at @bykinship jan 3rd, i hope to see you there;) by @teddy__lane
