"Parenting on Empty: Recognizing and Overcoming Parental Burnout"

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), burnout is an occupational phenomenon “conceptualized as resulting from chronic workplace stress that has not been successfully managed.” Parental burnout is an extension of this chronic stress when we look at how much we are actively in parent mode. by @teentalktherapy

I want to share an experience with you all, and I would love to hear your thoughts. If a teen asks for help and you immediately jump to encouragement, that could be dismissive, and here's why.

1. You aren't validating they are having a hard time.
2. You aren't affirming the trust they have for themselves.
3. You are telling them asking for help doesn't get them help.

Do you think jumping to encouragement after a term asks for help can be dismissive?
