🇺🇸 Laredo is more than a border city. It is a gateway between Texas, Mexico, and the world.

Founded in 1755 along the Río Grande, Laredo has always been a place where people, cultures, trade, and ideas connect. Today, it is one of the most important international trade hubs in the country.

Mexico is now investing in passenger rail to connect Mexico City with Nuevo Laredo. So why shouldn’t Texas think just as big?

Imagine a passenger rail line connecting Dallas, Fort Worth, Waco, Austin, San Antonio, and Laredo, creating a stronger connection between North Texas, South Texas, and our neighbors in Mexico. We don’t just need to move more goods. We need to make it easier for people to move too. 🚆 Dallas to Laredo by passenger rail. Let’s build the Texas we deserve.

Tu lucha es mi lucha! 🫶🏾✨

Missing my time in North Oak Cliff. During the pandemic I spent a year in Oak Cliff doing community work because I couldn’t stay home and receive unemployment checks while my immigrant community was let go, abruptly fired or simply not given the opportunities that latinos con “papeles” like myself were.

During a time where many suffered the lost of jobs and loved ones. It was transformative to be part of Latinx Dallas later Barrio Dallas collective in working with community organizations to provide our immigrant working families resources and groceries.

To this day we her how Latinos in the US are some of the hardest working people, I like to think of us as resilient instead. We work hard because we love our family, our culture, and our community.
