Tek For a Purpose is back! 👀🙏

24/10: 22:00 - 07:00 ⏰

For our third edition, we’re going back to our original location at Eskimofabriek in Gent and this time, we’re bringing something special...
🔊 A massive 28-METER SOUNDSYSTEM 🔊

And there’s more! Because the night of T4P, the clocks go back one hour.
That means ONE EXTRA HOUR OF TEKNO! 🔥

The project is officially underway!
Resonant Earth and ForAPurpose, together with Tadiazt, have officially started building a music studio in the M’berra refugee camp in Mauritania.
The camp is home to more than 100,000 people who were forced to flee from Mali.

For them, music is more than art. It is history, spirituality, and resistance. This studio will give the community a place to create, record and share their music again, creating a space for identity, healing and hope. 🎶🫶

The project has officially started, but there is still a long way to go.
That’s why we need your help more than ever. Every contribution brings us one step closer to making this studio a reality.

Together, we can make this happen.

💚 THIS YEAR, WE DANCE FOR M’BERA 💚

The M’bera refugee camp has existed since 2012. What started as an emergency has now become a permanent reality.

Today, more than 120,000 people live in the camp, while almost 290,000 Malian refugees are spread across the wider region. An entire generation is growing up here, and many have never known another home.

But surviving is not the same as living.

Around half of the population is facing acute food insecurity. Humanitarian support is decreasing, while access to education, work and basic infrastructure remains limited. For many young people, this means growing up without opportunities or perspective.

Yet M’bera is also filled with talent, creativity and resilience. During a recent mission, they spoke with more than 100 artists, young people, women, craftspeople and community members. They discovered a powerful creative scene with ideas, ambition and the will to build something meaningful. 🎶✨

What is missing is the space, resources and visibility to let that creativity grow.

That’s why this year’s proceeds will support the co-creation of a cultural space for music and art, built together with refugees and the local host community. A place where people can learn, create, produce, express themselves and build new opportunities for the future. 🫶

Share their story and stay tuned, because this mission needs all of us! 🌍
