Introducing AZMZ ⴰⵣⵎⵣ (Tekchbila Vol. 2) ⟡𓆗 AZMZ ⴰⵣⵎⵣ is the fruit of 3 years of collaboration between Bnat Louz and Raskas in the frame of @tekchbilaproject. A grounded encounter between Ahwach and electronic experimentation; With Bnat Louz's resonant female choir, Raskas’s distorted guitar, pedals and cinematic synths, AZMZ ⵣⵎⵣ unfolds as a body of work built on the kind of co-creation that is driven by intent, letting each voice preserve its own identity while contributing to a collective whole 𖡼.𖤣𖥧𖡼.𖤣𖥧 After 9 concerts in Morocco and beyond, AZMZ ⴰⵣⵎⵣ will now be available on 11 September 2026 on vinyl and all digital platforms yours truly. What a way to close a festival! AZMZ, bringing together Bnat Louz and Raskas, transformed the final night of Ethno Port into a celebration filled with warmth, rhythm, and joy. The connection between the performers and the audience was immediate, and before long the entire space felt united by the music, in a way that was both deeply personal and universally welcoming. Indian producer, sound artist and DJ @noni_mouse reflects on what connects electronic music communities across Casablanca, Delhi and Mumbai, and why the future of club culture may be taking shape far beyond its traditional centres. After spending time with Moroccan collective @ammeformusic in Casablanca, who run the residency @tekchbilaproject, Noni noticed striking similarities between the scenes there and those back home: DIY energy, resourceful communities, artists building their own ecosystems and a shared determination to create despite limited infrastructure and support. While many of these musicians draw inspiration from global electronic music hubs, they’re increasingly forging their own paths, blending club sounds with local traditions, histories and identities. A na koncercie zamknięcia 19 edycji FESTIWALU ETHNO PORT wystąpią AZMZ - Ahwach Bnat Louz @tekchbilaproject i Raskas @raskas.official Bez cienia przesady napiszemy krótko: to będzie magiczny koncert! O muzyce, którą podczas niego usłyszymy, Łukasz Smoluch (Uchem Smolucha) napisał tak: Jednostajny rytm o wyraźnych konturach sunie niczym cień zarysowany ostro na rozgrzanym piasku, a śpiewane pentatoniczne wzory naśladują powtarzalne figury skalistego krajobrazu. To ahwach – tradycyjna berberyjska forma muzyczno-taneczna południowego Maroka, w której ludzki głos schodzi się w surowej postaci z dźwiękiem bębnów obręczowych bendir, lokalnie nazywanych także allun, tallunt i tagwalt. Ahwach to przede wszystkim ucieleśnienie wspólnoty. Przynależność do niej ujawnia się już w układzie ciał – śpiewaczki i śpiewacy ustawiają się bowiem w ciasnych rzędach albo kręgach. Tak rozmieszczone chóry wchodzą ze sobą w antyfonalny dialog, a poszczególne osoby stapiają się w jeden byt, niesiony polirytmicznym akompaniamentem. Tytułowe AZMZ, oznaczające w języku amazigh „ducha czasu”, dobrze opisuje sytuację, w której ahwach przestaje być wyłącznie archaiczną praktyką, a staje się sposobem mówienia o berberyjskiej tożsamości tu i teraz. Do śpiewaczek z Ahwach Bnat Louz przyłącza się duet Raskas, którego rola polega na przesunięciu tej formy we współczesne pole słyszenia.
