After graduating with a Master of Contextual Design at the Design Academy of Eindhoven, in 2017, 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗼 𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗲 founded 𝗧𝗲𝗹𝗹𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗼, a multidisciplinary design studio specialised in objects, spaces and installations design.

The context in which a project is born has been the primary focus of these years' research. What binds the objects of a place to the characteristic of the place itself intertwines the historical, geological and social aspects of humankind, as well as the uniqueness and simplicity of everyday life. It is an always expanding field of investigation, as endless are the ways to live.

Here more photos of the Take Care! A spatial choreography and a curatorial project realised and developed by Tellurico Design Studio commissioned by @isola.design and sponsored by @monkey47 for the Milan Design Week 2023.

The setup creates a bridge between indoors and outdoors. A conversation between the outside garden of Biblioteca degli Alberi and the inside exhibition space of Stecca3. The plants burst through the windows into the exhibition space and invade the inner space.

The installation design is inspired by the way how native South American civilisations grow their food. In South America when colonists arrived from Europe, they thought they had found heaven, the promised land. One of the reasons they thought so was because by walking along the paths within the forest they were able to find all the food they needed along the way, accustomed as they were to growing their food by cutting down a piece of land and growing only one vegetable or fruit on that same land. Local South American tribes grew their food differently, in commune with nature, along the path they were walking in, in this way they did not have the need to carry food with them and they could take everything they needed from the forest. We similarly created the installation design, a patch along which the viewer can walk and find the design projects, food for their mind.
All the plants used for the installation have been carefully selected together with OZ eventi, which works not only as an installation a specialised installation company, picking only seasonal plants from the Milanese countryside.

Always in September I was invited by @5vie_milano for developing the second chapter of my series of performances Untitled. This was untitled 1B.
The Performance took place in the SIAM (Società Incoraggiamento Arti e Mestieri) in the city centre of Milan and it investigate the importance of the “Time” behind a design process and how as a Designer the only thing that I truly own and that I can sell it’s my time.
During the 4 days of performance I carved 6 different volumes that result to be a “unfinished collection” of chairs.

Sculpted as a symbol of belonging ✵ INTERNATIONAL DESIGN presents A Chair for Ursula by Tellurico, where collectible design becomes a reflection on hospitality, courtesy and inclusion.

Created in response to the widely discussed diplomatic incident involving Ursula von der Leyen, the chair transforms a symbolic moment into a sculptural object centred on the universal gesture of offering someone a seat.

Handcrafted sculptural stools ✵ INTERNATIONAL DESIGN presents the Stools Collection from Tellurico, where solid wood is transformed into collectible design.

Carved from solid wood and finished with natural beeswax, each piece removes unnecessary elements to celebrate proportion, texture and material authenticity. The result is a timeless collectible design collection that balances sculptural presence with everyday functionality.

In London, Tellurico presents a dialogue between body, material and
transformation.

On view at Mint Gallery as part of the exhibition Second Skin, the bench
Panca is presented as a key work, developed within the framework of the
Contemporary Design Factory, a residency held in February 2025 at Dopo
Space in Milan.

Hand-carved from solid Abachi and Linden wood with a Black Ebony matte
finish, Panca embodies a theoretical and performative exploration of
contemporary design. It reflects a shift away from industrial production
toward a multidisciplinary approach where art, science and craft
intersect. The gesture of carving becomes both process and statement,
design as a physical act.

Alongside it, a selection of vases from the Telluride series expands
Tellurico’s ongoing material research. Handmade in Volcanic Porcelain,
these works combine porcelain clay with volcanic rock. During the
firing, the lava melts and fractures the porcelain structure, generating
organic, unpredictable textures. The result is a surface shaped by heat
and tension, raw yet refined, fragile yet resistant. taken in Mayfair London by @tellurico

We interviewed Francesco Pace (@tellurico), designer and founder of Tellurico Design Studio, about the performance project Untitled 1C, which represents a new, more focused and intense chapter in the designer’s long-standing research into time. A study of work and the real value of collectible design objects. The project has already been to Milan, Amsterdam, and Athens, and has also arrived in Dubai for Isola Space at Dubai Design Week 2025, without losing its essence but rather strengthening it.

Still few days to see Ultrafuctionalism in Dubai at Isola Space. The show “Icon of tomorrow” will be open until the 6th of December. However, the good news is that the full Chroma Collection will remain on view throughout 2026. 😊 by @tellurico

UltraFunctionalism is a new design concept developed for Chroma Composite.
Inspired by Italian Rationalist Architecture where function
and construction methods defines form, rejecting any superfluous ornamentations.
Each object follows a strict logic of assembly, with every element essential to its structure. This echoes Enzo Mari’s pursuit of essential design, while pushing toward precision and refinement.
Unlike Mari’s raw aesthetic, these pieces are defined by sharp detailing and high-end finishing.
The project launches with a Consolle Prima that acts as a manifesto. Through it, Chroma’s Composites material becomes both medium and message: strong, essential, and uncompromising. by @tellurico

Experiment #16
Campi Flegrei — DAY 20·05·2024

On May 20th, 2024, the Phlegraean Fields recorded 370 seismic events.
At 18:10, the strongest reached magnitude 4.4.

This object is the result of an entire day seismic monitoring transformed into a functional form.
Each parameter—magnitude, depth, latitude, and longitude—was translated into a specific 3D variable.
The final volume is the algorithmic expression of the land’s activity over 24 hours.

Printed at 100% scale in Volcanic Porcelain, the piece was produced through the close collaboration between Tellurico’s research-driven design practice and WASP’s advanced clay printing technology.

More than a vessel, it is a physical memory of intangible phenomena, where data becomes function, and earth becomes artifact.
