We are so thrilled to announce Paul Novak as Telos Consort's 2026-2027 Artist-in-Residence! During his residency, he will serve on the artistic board to discuss programming which will culminate in a final curated concert in May 2026.

Here's some more about Paul!
Paul Novak is a Chicago-based composer and flutist. His "spellbinding" (Washington Post) music immerses listeners in shimmering and subtly crafted worlds full of color, motion, light, and magic. His recent projects engage with dreams and memory, queer identity, climate change and the natural world, and psychosomatic illness. Novak has been commissioned by and collaborated with orchestras, chamber ensembles, and musicians around the world. He has received awards from the Fromm Foundation, Barlow Endowment, ASCAP, BMI, and American Academy of Arts and Letters. He is 2026-29 composer-in-residence of the California Symphony, the co-artistic director and flutist of Chicago-based ensemble Mycelium New Music, and is a PhD candidate at the University of Chicago. www.paulnovakmusic.com/

We can't wait to have Paul on board this season with us! More season announcements coming soon. by @telosconsort
