WestK FunFest Capoeira Performance Every roda recalls the spirit and resistance of the art and records the presence of the being- the emotion and body, the opening and blockage, of the player and the collective. Every time is a good learning experience as long as there is capacity for learning/unlearning and reflection โค๏ธ This one we had brothers came back from Brazil with fresh eyes, bodies that were so ready to put some stress off, the supportive sis and a mom who finally got to play by @temdende.hk

On this day, we honor Mestre Moa do Katendeฬ‚, a legendary Capoeira Angola mestre, composer, and fearless voice against oppression, brutally murdered on October 8, 2018, for boldly opposing Jair Bolsonaroโ€™s politics. His unwavering courage and commitment to justice inspire us still. As we practice Capoeira Angola, we uphold the spirit of resistance, defending the values of community, truth, and cultural pride he lived and died for. by @temdende.hk
