What a privilege to be entrusted with anchoring Her Excellency the First Lady’s @officialoluremitinubu event, and an even greater honour to receive such gracious feedback from her on stage, in the presence of distinguished dignitaries at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa. It was also a pleasure to share the stage with my co-anchor, @billy_is.here Thank you for your professionalism and seamless collaboration. My heartfelt appreciation goes to the immediate past RHI FCT Coordinator, my Aunty D @dayobenlaniyi , for the opportunity and for your heartfelt feedback. Coming from someone who has anchored presidential events with such excellence, your commendation means a great deal to me. I do not take your confidence in me or your kind words for granted. Moments like these remind me why I remain committed to delivering excellence and professionalism at every event. Some moments in life stay with you forever. They may seem little, but sometimes, God knows you need them to reaffirm you in a particular season. I’ve told this story a thousand times, and I’m not tired yet.😅 That “random” call from Mrs Badru to host her event in April 2024 gave me a shift I didn’t even know I needed. It gave me the confidence to finally call myself an event host. If I remember correctly, I initially declined, sent a message to my Mama Raqs @theraqueldaniel who encouraged me (her message in the last slide😉)and then called back to say I was willing to do it. 😅 What surprised me was that she had never seen me host an event, yet she was confident enough to entrust her event to me. And this was a ‘Temi Badru’ event, mind you! By God’s help, it went well. Last year, I finally asked her why she gave me that opportunity, and her answer was simple “Because I knew you could do it.” Temi Badru has held my hand in so many ways, from giving me very honest reviews to referring me for opportunities. Who refers you and still takes the time to ensure you don’t have to figure everything out by yourself? One thing I’ve always been conscious of is that every time she referred me, she was putting her brand on the line for me. She was trusting me with what she had spent years building, and I have never taken that lightly. I understand that I wasn’t just showing up for myself; I’m also honouring the trust she has placed in me. She has literally opened doors for me, offered honest feedback, and most times, if not always, ended our calls with a quick word of prayer. You’ve been a big sister, Mrs Badru. Thank you for subtly “pulling my ears” when necessary, and for that 11 p.m. call that reset my brain sometime ago. Iykyk. 😂❤️ Thank you for mirroring the possibilities of what I could become, even before I fully saw them myself. If you believe I can, I find it easier to believe that I can, too. Not just in hosting, but in life ❤️ Thank you and your family for opening your doors to me and being so kind. I absolutely adore you and P. Joe. A day is not enough to celebrate you, Mrs Badru. Have a good year 🎉 Please help me celebrate, the President Host❤️ by @temi_badru

I’m delighted to be hosting the maiden edition of the Zenith Bank Girl Child Empowerment Programme, themed “Banking on Her Tomorrow,” with the sub-theme “The Future Is Hers.” My special thanks to Dame Dr. Adaora Umeoji, OON, @adaora.umeoji for conceiving and championing this beautiful initiative, and for the kind invitation to host. As the first female GMD/CEO of Zenith Bank, her journey is an inspiration in itself. Every girl deserves the opportunity to find her voice and realise her potential. Through initiatives like this, Zenith Bank is creating opportunities for girls to learn, grow, and envision a future without limits. When we invest in girls today, we help shape a better tomorrow. I’m excited! The Presidential Host, Temi Badru #temibadru #ZenithBankGirlChild #ZBGC2026 #ZBBankingOnHer #ZBFutureIsHer by @temi_badru
