Thank you to everyone who came out for our first Repair Fair at the Hub last night! Students were able to get some help mending clothes and fixing items like hair dryers, CD players, laptops, clocks, and more 💻

The BIGGEST thank you goes to @phillyfixers for sharing your skills with Temple students & helping them give new life to the items they brought in. We can’t wait for the next one! 🛠️🪛 by @templeessentialneeds

Do you have something that’s broken or needs to be repaired? 🛠️🪛

Bring yourself and your item to the Repair Fair and learn how to fix it! We’ll be working with items like small appliances, technology, clothing, and more.

RSVP is strongly encouraged (via Suitable: links in bio). Walk-ins will be served on a first-come, first-served basis. Please plan to attend during the first hour of the Repair Fair (6PM-7PM). When RSVPing, please describe the item you plan to bring and what you’re hoping to repair! by @templeessentialneeds

🤝 Good neighbors. Stronger communities.

Temple University’s Division of Student Affairs, Temple Public Safety and the Office of Institutional Diversity, Equity, Advocacy and Leadership (IDEAL) teamed up to go door-to-door in neighborhoods where many Temple students live off campus.

We shared safety resources, connected with students and neighbors and reinforced the university’s Good Neighbor Initiative.

It’s all about showing up, building relationships and strengthening the Temple and North Philadelphia communities we’re proud to call home. 🦉

We had a great time at our first food tasting of the semester with Lori from @tustudenthealth at the Cherry Pantry! Lori and Zoey made a fresh tomato pineapple salsa and shared recipe cards for the students to recreate this colorful, nutritious dish at home 🌶️🍴

Any recipes you’d love to learn how to make with common ingredients you can find at the Cherry Pantry? 👀 Let us know! by @templeessentialneeds
