At first glance, this weeks #ysydCrew challenge, #ChillingLizard, made me feel anything but chill. I decided to #try anyway before I left the studio for the sheer curiosity of seeing how challenging it would actually be- hoping I was warmed up enough after teaching 2 classes. I can confirm.. it is as challenging as it looks! However, it's empowering to feel these poses become easier with practice if our bodies allow us to be in them. Not every #pose is meant for every body- remember that as you move and stay safe. Using a 10 second self timer, I played around. Before I knew it, I was in somewhat of a flow state, where my mind had unconsciously tuned out anything besides the repetitive task at hand. Fully focused on coordinating all of the tiny movements and placements swiftly enough to get myself into something remotely close. Activating my whole brain while using every inch of my body. Each try got a little better, and I felt more confident and stronger physically and in my mind. When I see this photo, I don't see someone trying to impress in a difficult pose or advertising their ego. I'm aware that the success of the practice does not correlate to what it looks like visually, and I always encourage students to customize their own practice- which varies moment to moment for us all. When I see this photo, I think about the hours spent in the studio today. The practice. The time it took to warm up my body and clear my mind enough to unify it all in one juicy, releasing, powerful moment. The classes weren't to prepare for this pose, as I hadn't even seen it yet, but they did lead me to this moment and allow me into it. If you see a pose that feels unattainable, or quite literally IS unattainable for you, it doesn't mean you can't try to imitate the shape in some way and play around with your body. Maybe you will find something even more unique that feels good or find pure joy or a moment of solace in the challenge. Always be mindful and know your limits. Remember to play and that it is always a practice. Nothing is perfect, and each day brings us unique challenges on and off our mats. Take care of yourselves❣️ Tag me if you play along ✨️🫶✨️ #ysyd #yoga by @tenaciousli
3x speed 🎚 Of course, I did a lot of Yoga in Black Rock City as well. Anywhere and anytime it felt right. Alone or with new friends. These speakers were oozing something delicious for the early afternoon and I needed to stretch. It is more than acceptable to do whatever makes you feel good here as long as it isn't negatively affecting someone or something around you. Nobody looks at you weird like 95% do in the airport. 😂 In my happy place. 🫶🔥🌞 #BurningMan #BurningMan2023 #Mudpocalypse #BlackRockCity #BRC #Nevada #Yogi #yoga #yogapractice #balance #selfcare by @tenaciousli
•The bright blessed day .. The dark sacred night• •And I think to myself .. What a wonderful world• °✨️☀️🌑☀️✨️° 5 days later at time of posting, and still processing. I've dreamed about the eclipse every night since. So grateful for this moment. Words will never do justice the awe of being in line with such a celestial spectacle with my own being. I will forever be amazed. Thank you universe, and thank you to my Mom, Dad, and daughter for being there with me and to all our angels for sharing in this astrological alignment❣️ Full disclosure: my brain was overloaded when I took my solar glasses off, and I took about a 1-2/10 of any image I was capable of. I took a video, never shut it off until Bailey's beads showed again, and it was too late for a picture or any closeups of the eclipse. 🤷‍♀️ This is a still from my video. Not even close to the quality I could have got with a photo, but having the video will be more special. The image of the Suns corona in the cool darkness is seared into my memory. I have never been more surprised as I was the moment I took off my glasses❣️ • • • • • • #Vermont #eclipse #totaleclipse #eclipse2024 #usaeclipse #thegreatamericaneclipse #greatamericaneclipse #eclipsechaser #jericho #jerichovt #jerichovermont #family #love #happy #solareclipse #rare #celestial #astronomy #plantets #sun #moon #newmoon #samsung #galaxy #galaxy23ultra #galaxys23 #photo #ptotography #astronomy #alignment 📌 HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A SOLAR ECLIPSE (TOTAL OR NOT) ? by @tenaciousli

Thank you so much to everyone who gathered in community for our Spring Surrender restorative sound bath and yoga practice on the day of the 2026 Spring Equinox❣️ 🍃 I take such honor in holding a safe space for others and don't take your presence for granted. My hope is that in letting go and recieving what you needed, you were all able to leave feeling better than you came in. I know I always do- whether I'm teaching or receiving. Regardless of what the body does during a particular practice, entering a sacred space is always a mindset shift for me. Although I am always a spiritual person, the norms of society go out the window in my offerings. While realizing that perfection doesn't exist, I strive to make sure that no one feels belittled or judged in class. I offer modifications and always make it known that taking a break for as long as needed is OK, and reiterate the fact that we are all different, and to celebrate that. Although we are blessed with a beautiful quiet studio to practice with green trees outside our windows filled with life and creatures crawling, its not about the space. Its about the space held. I hope you feel completely held here, mind body and spirit. Check out the next post if you would like to join us for the next monthly restorative gathering at @typeonefitness 🫶 and follow me for future ways to care for yourself by @tenaciousli
