POSTS STORIES REELS

For my final project in art class, I chose to represent myself through six deeply personal objects that together tell a story about my identity, values, and lived experience. Instead of a literal self-portrait, I leaned into metaphor and meaning to explore how I see myself and how I’ve grown. Here’s what each item represents…

❤️‍🔥Rock Climbing Rope
This rope symbolizes my resilience and my relationship with challenge.
Climbing has taught me how to trust myself, face fear, and build strength through persistence. It’s also a literal lifeline, a reminder of the importance of connection, both to the people who belay me and to the grounding truths that keep me steady.

❤️‍🔥Jester Collar
The jester collar represents my sense of humor and my willingness to approach life with playfulness, even during heavy times. It nods to the archetype of the Fool, the one who dares to speak truth, laugh at the absurd, and bring levity when it’s most needed. This part of me finds joy in being irreverent, curious, and creatively bold.

❤️‍🔥Owl Feather
Owls are symbols of wisdom, intuition, and mystery. The feather speaks to my love of the unseen and the depth of introspection. It also connects to my ongoing journey with self-awareness and trusting inner knowing, even when logic doesn’t have all the answers.

❤️‍🔥Medicine Drum
This drum reflects my spiritual practices and my connection to healing, both personal and collective. Rhythm has been a form of grounding, prayer, and expression for me. It honors my respect for ancestral knowledge and the importance of ritual in my life.

❤️‍🔥Candle
The candle stands for hope, presence, and illumination. Light in the darkness. It’s a simple, steady symbol of how I try to live, with mindfulness, with warmth, and with a quiet determination to keep showing up for myself and others, even when things are hard.

❤️‍🔥Childhood Stuffed Animal “BABA”
This final object connects me to my inner child, the part of me that still seeks comfort, safety, and love. It’s a reminder to offer myself gentleness and protection, especially as I grow older and navigate adult complexities. This item holds memory, innocence, and continuity.

I know I’ve been quiet here for a while. It wasn’t planned, but it has been necessary. Life pulled me inward, and I followed. Over the last several months, I’ve been deep in my own process… I’m now in my studies of psychology, creating art behind the scenes, and facing parts of myself I’ve spent years gently approaching.

There were many paths in front of me, paths that looked easier, more familiar, more “aligned” with who I used to be. But I chose the one that felt the most uncomfortable, the most confronting, and the most true. The path of choosing *me*. Of honoring what my heart has been asking for, even when it hasn’t made sense to anyone else. Of slowly rebuilding the way I see my worth, not based on what I do for others, but on how I care for and show up for myself.

This season hasn’t been about showing up online, it’s been about showing up *here*, in real life, in real time, in the in-between spaces where growth is quiet and often messy.

I’ve been creating so much, art that I haven’t shared yet, because it needed to be just for me for a while. I’ve been learning to pour love inward, to move slower, to feel more honestly, and to stay present with whatever’s real in each moment. To just be the wild creature that I am.

To those of you who have stuck around, reached out, or sent love during my silence, thank you. Your support has reminded me that even when we go quiet, we are still held. That connection doesn’t disappear when words do. And that kind, patient presence speaks louder than we often realize.

Right now, I’m not rushing to figure everything out. I’m learning to trust this version of living, one that takes off the mask and is more about just *being*. All I know for sure is that the present moment is all we ever really have. And I’m doing my best to be in it, fully.

This is my first completed drawing of graphite in my first college art class. It feels so good, going back to the basics of shape and value. Tending to these raw beginnings is deeply grounding and inspiring a new ignition within my heart. by @tending.wild.visions

All in a days work 👽

This is my submission for my midterm project. I classically procrastinated and got sucked into a drawing portal for 10 hours. I hope you enjoy this drawing of some items in my paint basket.

This summer has felt like magic with sprinkling seeds of hope amongst the chaos happening within the world.

The kind of hope that changes you from the inside out.

I’ve had the immense gift of watching my baby boy come into the world, and then learning how to dance with this new experience of motherhood. Some days graceful, some days messy, but all of it so deeply beautiful.

We’ve filled these months with lake days, swimming holes, climbing trips, camping under open skies, beach adventures, live music, and afternoons painting with friends. We’ve kept exploring, kept playing, kept saying yes to adventure, just in a whole new way now with our little babe along for the ride.

And somewhere in between the golden evenings, sleepy snuggles, dirt-covered feet, long drives, laughter with friends, and the beautiful chaos of it all, I’ve been meeting myself again.

A new version of me.

A softer version. A braver version. A version learning that I don’t have to have it all figured out to be fully here.

Motherhood has stretched me and softened me. It has asked me to slow down, to surrender, to notice the smallest moments. It has cracked my heart wide open and somehow made the world feel even more alive.

I’m realizing that becoming a mother isn’t becoming someone entirely new… it’s meeting all the pieces of yourself you’ve yet to discover.

And so this summer, while I’ve been watching my baby boy discover the world for the very first time, I’ve been discovering it all over again, too.

Maybe that’s just the magic of it all. by @tending.wild.visions

the dream I carried long ago
finally opened its eyes
and found its way into my arms.

Long before I knew the suns face,
I dreamed of it.

And then he came,
born with the first light of morning,
as if the universe had written his arrival into the sky.

Ari Sol.

My soaring Eagle.

Learning to be his mom
has been the most intuitive path of love I have ever experienced.

And perhaps nowhere have I felt that love more deeply than in the quiet devotion of caring for him,
showing up,
nourishing his being,
giving him my time and patience,
over and over again.

There have been long nights,
tired mornings,
moments when I wondered how I could keep giving,
and yet somehow my heart always knew.

To nourish his soul from my own body
has felt like one of the most profound privileges of becoming his mother.

It has taught me that motherhood
is not always loud or grand.

Sometimes it is simply sitting in the quiet, holding him close,
watching his little eyes grow heavy,
and knowing that in this moment
he is safe,
he is nourished,
he is deeply loved.

These 108 days have changed me.

They have softened me.
Strengthened me.

Opened places in my heart
I didn’t know existed.

He was once a dream
I could only imagine.
Now here,
my son,
my greatest blessing,
my beautiful Ari.

You were loved before you arrived,
dreamed of before you were known,
and cherished from your very first breath.

108 days of you.

108 days of becoming me
in a whole new way.

Spread your wings, my soaring Eagle.
I will always be here,
loving you,
nourishing you,
and watching you become
everything you were meant to be. 🤍 by @tending.wild.visions

Three years ago, during my last ceremony in Peru, I was given a vision that has stayed with me all this time.

I saw two great trees coming together, their roots grounded in the earth, their branches reaching toward one another. And in the center, where they met, was a beautiful baby boy.

At the time, I didn’t know what I was seeing.

The vision never fully made sense to my waking mind. It remained somewhere deep within me, waiting.

And now, three years later, I find myself painting it with my son in my arms, earthside.

Suddenly, the vision feels different.

The little boy I saw then is no longer only a vision. He is here. He is breathing. He is real. I can hold him.

Perhaps the two trees were two paths coming together. Perhaps they were roots, lineage, love, or two worlds meeting. And perhaps the child at their center was simply a glimpse of the soul who was already making his way toward me.

I don’t feel the need to explain it completely.

Some things are sacred precisely because they remain mysterious.

What I know is that I saw him before I knew him.

And now, as I paint this vision three years later, I’m painting with a kind of awe I couldn’t have known then, because the baby in the center of that vision is now in my arms.

Earthside.
Here.
My sweet Ari🌿🤍 by @tending.wild.visions

Baby is getting closer to earthside, and I can feel it in ways that are hard to put into words 🌿

There’s a quiet, steady excitement weaving through my days, not loud or rushed, but slow and intentional. I’m being asked to soften, to listen, to prepare in a deeper way than ever before.

I’m turning inward more. Letting rest be sacred. Letting stillness speak. Trusting this slower rhythm instead of resisting it. My body is doing something miraculous, and I’m learning to meet it with reverence instead of urgency.

There’s a shedding happening too. Old stories, identities, ways of holding myself, they’re rising so I can release them. It isn’t always graceful. Sometimes it’s tears. Sometimes discomfort. Sometimes anger.
And I’m learning not to silence that anger, but to listen. There is wisdom there. Boundaries. Truth.

At the same time, I feel a deep longing for community. To be seen and to see others. To create, express, and be more fully alive, with kindred spirits.

This season is asking for radical honesty. To let everything in me exist without judgment. The softness, the joy, the fear, the fire, all part of the becoming.

As I prepare to bring this baby into the world, I feel another birth unfolding too, a version of me that is more rooted, open, and real.

Two hearts, two births, one unfolding 🤍 by @tending.wild.visions

When I was assigned to create this self-portrait for school, I didn’t expect it to become such an intimate mirror.

What began as an art project slowly unfolded into a reflection of how much I’ve changed…from maiden to a woman now approaching motherhood.

For this piece, I chose a new technique: painting with a palette knife. It felt unfamiliar ~ less controlled, more textured. Each stroke had to be built, shaped, and accepted as it was.

The process mirrored my own transformation. Growth is not smooth or delicate. It is layered, imperfect, sometimes rough… yet deeply beautiful.

There was a time when I lived fully in my maiden phase, curious, searching, defining myself through experience and emotion. I was still learning my voice, still navigating who I was beneath expectations, relationships, and external validation. That season carried innocence, but also confusion.

I was becoming, even when I didn’t realize it.

The road inward has not been easy. I’ve had to face parts of myself I once avoided, old wounds, limiting beliefs, patterns rooted in fear.

Healing has not been linear.

It has been uncomfortable, exposing, and at times lonely. I grieved former versions of myself, the one who didn’t know her worth, the one who tolerated less than she deserved.

Through that work, I began discovering myself more honestly. Not just the polished parts, but the raw, imperfect, human ones. Each version of me ~ the maiden learning, the woman breaking, the one rebuilding ~ served a purpose and carried me here.

Now, approaching motherhood, I feel a deeper grounding. More intentional with my energy, more protective of my peace, more compassionate with myself.

This reflection isn’t about arrival. It’s about evolution… the inner work, the healing, the discovery, the love I’ve learned to give myself.

I am not who I was.

And I am still becoming.

And to anyone walking their own path, may you give yourself permission to evolve. May you honor every version of yourself with compassion. Trust that the layers you are building, even the rough and uneven ones, are shaping something meaningful. by @tending.wild.visions

Since my last post, something sacred has been quietly unfolding.

The prayers I offered to the river have been heard.

I found a resting completion in the painting that carried my fears and my faith pre-conception.

Visions in 2023 planted seeds of your presence, closer than before, birthing you through the roots of your father and mine, a woven tree.

A dream in the summer of 2025, where a radiant woman came to me and whispered, “I choose you.”

I didn’t understand then what was taking root.

But now I do.

My womb has created a precious space for this beautiful spirit to grow,
a small miracle stirring in the unseen currents of life.

A reminder that Spirit moves even when we are still,
that love and creation always arrive in their own divine timing.

I walk forward softened, open, and in awe,
carrying this mystery… this new life…
with gratitude, reverence, and so much love already. 🤍✨

Four more months until we meet earthside, and we are all so excited. by @tending.wild.visions

This past weekend at @stilldreamfestival was nothing short of medicine for my soul. There’s something about that land, that river, the way the light touches the trees, and most of all, the beautiful humans I crossed paths with, that left me feeling deeply held and humbled. I’m so thankful for everyone I met, for the conversations, the quiet moments, the laughter, the hugs. Every connection felt like a thread weaving me closer to myself and the collective dream we’re all tending to.
One of the most sacred moments for me was paddle boarding up the river. The water was so alive, clear, cool, ancient. As I moved slowly with the current, I offered my prayers. Prayers for peace to ripple down the river, through the land, through all of us. I felt the presence of Spirit in that water, gentle, constant, reminding me to trust the flow.
This weekend, I also completed a painting that holds deep meaning for me. Midway through this piece I had a lucid dream where a clear vision of a woman glowing in the light of the sun came through. She came to me, radiant and sure, and said, “I choose you.” Those words echoed through me, not just as a calling, but a remembering. She is a symbol of my longing, my prayers to be a mother, not just in the physical sense, but in the energetic, spiritual sense. Maybe that role will manifest physically one day, or maybe this journey is more about learning how to receive, nurture, and embody the divine mother within myself.
This painting became a vessel for my fears, my doubts, the ones that whisper I’m not enough, not ready.
But as I painted, I asked Spirit to help me transmute those feelings into hope, faith, and trust. To alchemize fear into something softer, stronger. It’s not always easy for me. Trust, especially when things are uncertain, can feel like a leap off a cliff. But faith is a muscle, and every time I choose to lean into discomfort, I learn how to fly a little more.
I’m learning to live within the mystery. To let go of the timelines I once clung to. There is no rush. The path is unfolding exactly as it’s meant to.
And so, I walk it, grateful, open, dreaming, trusting. by @tending.wild.visions

Mystical creatures adding magical sparkle juice to Tipper and friends. ✨🌿

I’m so deeply grateful for my goddess collective, what a powerful sisterhood of dancing, singing, laughing, and letting all that needed to move, rise up and release in this sacred container.

And then… a full week of backpacking in the woods to integrate, reflect, and be held by nature?! 🍃💫

I’m overflowing with gratitude for this life and the opportunity to play, to feel, and to be so fully present in this wild, beautiful journey.
Now, with my heart open and spirit recharged, I’m stepping into what’s next, more creation, deeper connection, and continued trust in the mystery. 🌙✨

What’s to come feels big, soft, and full of magic. I’m listening. I’m ready. 💫🌀 by @tending.wild.visions
