~Something a little different~ Take 1

MOVE CREDIT @ about 22sec in- @ricky1989ep - I learned something similar from them at unimate (:

Took multiple takes to this tune & have been debating for a couple months whether I should actually post them, as I see many mistakes. Getting over the perfectionist mindset means posting anyways though right, so here it goes.

What's your fav tune from the Tipper album Cloaked??! I'd love to know, so tell me below!? This one is absolutely my fav (::
@tippermusic song: Meadow Foam

P.S.
Good news is my elbow is healing up with psychical therapy! Bad news is someone just rear ended me at a stop light a couple weeks back & I am now beginning a new healing process.. HOW IRONIC LMAO but also saaaad 😂 Could always be worse though, grateful to be alive and functioning!

Special collab post with my friend Slayde!
If you want more drippy sounds for your earholes, definitely check out his music. This tune is from his Insula album.

If you haven't noticed by now, I looove flowing to downtempo. It just hits different , really puts me in the moment, & makes my movement feel more raw and intentional.

Take 2 ~Dedicated to the Tipper & Friends Family~ @tippermusic - Meadow foam

While recording these takes I couldn't help but imagine I was back in the swamp with the Tipper & Friends family. I reached the most insane, almost indescribable, break through flow states, specifically at Suwannee Tipper & Friends events. There is truly something magical about that venue & the attendees.. & of course the music!

I couldn't help but feel a bit emotional recording these takes knowing that supposedly, there will never be another TnF. So I wanted to dedicate these takes to the Tipper & Friends family, to all the amazing people I had the pleasure of connecting with there, to all the beautiful souls that have inspired me so deeply, & to the most beautiful venue i've ever been to, Suwannee music park!

Words really can't begin to do justice describing what this community means to me! Also, what other venue in the states can you dance barefoot in the sand, surrounded by oaks drippin in spanish moss, with a fat function-one sound system??!
It feels like the end of an era honestly, but i'm excited to see what comes next.

How does it feel to be moved by music. It’s different then moving to the music. At TrancenDance we will explore techniques that help us drop the facade of how we look moving to music and surrender to how the music wants to move through us.

My physical therapist reccomended I focus on liquid/fluid movement, so I made that my main intention for this video we recorded a few weeks back. I also tried to keep things gentle and minimal, as this was my first session back after taking a month n a half off from dance practice due to some injuries.
Stoked to be wiggling once again! 🥹

Ayyye its been a minute, so I thought I'd tap back in with a fun photo post before I begin posting dance videos this week. Winter is a special time of year for me & this year has been no exception. I love the cool wet foggy days that have me feeling deeply introspective. Its hard to explain & im not feeling particularly wordsmithy at the moment, but there is truly something mystical about winter time, especially here in the pacific northwest!

I ended up taking about a month and half off from dancing recently as I was/am dealing with some minor, but persistent injurys. When it first happend I was quite resistant to it. I had moments of feeling deep sadness not being able to do what is most fulfilling to me, especially once I hit the two week mark, as I was sure I'd be healed up by then.

However as the weeks progressed, my perspective began to shift & I began feeling gratitude for the lessons the injurys have taught me, & gratitude from making more space in my life to reset &spend time doing other things that I love... like drinking lotttts of tea, gong fu style!

Speaking of, are there any other shou pu erh fanatics out here in portland?? If so, lets link up & tea sesh together sometime 🥰 by @tendri.l

What a tune!
I sat my speaker too close to my phone during this recording sesh, & it seems to have created a slight vibration effect on the camera when the basses hit. Kinda cool though.. I guess..? lol
Been having fun, capturing a whole lot of videos over these past few months, excited to share my progress - slowly but surely as usual it seems!
