It was such a joy being a guest teacher for @trini.journey and working with @yotamagam …sharing the practice with such strong, keen and full-spirited young students.

Just the other day, I was feeling unsure about this path of teaching. It was one of those slow, off-season days when only one student showed up to class.

Then a day like this comes along…happy sweaty faces, full energy and genuine acknowledgment for what I share. It brings me back to why I’m doing this in the first place.

Sometimes, a little recognition and kindness is all it takes.

I do not have the courage to lay down my life for a free Tibet, but I will honour that sacrifice in the way I live. By showing up with integrity, dignity and heart…so that I can embody what it means to be Tibetan. ✊🏼

The loss of yet another Tibetan martyr (171 self-immolations to date) is beyond unbearable, and yet it carries a truth too powerful to ignore. I mourn this sacrifice deeply, and I hold it with the prayer that it will not disappear into silence…that it will stir conscience, awaken humanity, and leave a mark that cannot be erased. 🕊️🙏🏼

I’m often told I look “younger than my age” or “so fit for 50”…but really, how is 50 supposed to look?

This is 50.

It’s about time we let go of outdated ideas of what age should look like. We don’t need to fit a perception, we just need to show up as we are…💯 authentic.

Truth is, there’s no perfect age, body, or level of strength and flexibility needed to follow a physical practice - only the decision to begin and the courage to go all in.

I started Ashtanga at 42, late by “normal” standards.
Sure, there were days I wished I’d started earlier, but honestly, I’m just grateful I started at all.

So don’t waste time, don’t overthink…just show up. You got this! 💪🏼✨
