"Near the window" Andrey Kartashov 150x80cm. Oil, linen 2006

This portrait or genre portrait more exactly saying was created in China twenty years ago... I was young and ambitious. Painted from nature. The fact is - it was another model, but i changed her finally, because haven't catch full image of oriental beauty..

Yesterday's I organised the oil painting workshop for the good friends of mine @anastasi_saveli and @_nicolaam_ We studied the "liquid beginning", total color spots and their contact. We chatted, created, laughed... 🎨🖼️

Today I devoted my painting to Arnold Schwarzenegger's Birthday. He got 79. I had copy my daddy's painting "Sistine Matrix" in my own creative abstract style. Happy Birthday, Arnie! 💪🏻🔥⭐

I received the @the_portrait_society International Competition sertificate of excellence. Thanks, God. But I need to pay the jury of PSA attention for some of details.

1) At the mail adress you don't write my house number and ph the number , no matter that i wrote it during filling the int'l competition form. I got this sertificate ocussionally. Just because i have the same family name with one of municipal vice-principal. The post office staff brought it there, then ocussionally find my lawer phone number, then find me.

2) I need to say a few words about rebranding of Sertificate design. I got two of them during last 12 years. And even not becaming winner, this sertificate had give me feelings of admitting by someone and something very serious, respectable. These fonts, these medal.. I was proud to hang it on the wall. But now... What's happened? Portrait Society of America is one of mostly respectful fine art establishment in the world. And this design? Are you seriously? Why? It's reminds me the school folder for draftmanship. But the school folder design was more serious. And the sertificate design... It can be keying at the word office program (even not necessary any pohotoshop or adobe in design) and printed. It's shameful to me put in on the wall together with previous two... The artist putted his best effort, talent, hope and 50$ for getting.. This..

So, after that not to much desire to take part in this competition anymore. Another question that competition it's a bit lottery. I see a bit wierd some finalists and some tighty professional "sertificate".

If my "voting" have even 0,000001%, please come back to previous design and please pay attention for mail adress when you sending it.

"Stillife with the sunflowers" 80x130cm. Oil, canvas. 2025
A llots of people thinking that i working in portrait and figurative genre. But stillife, especially dutch stillife was my "guilty pleasure" even before entering to Repin Academy of Art. And now I pretty seldom, but returning to it. This stillife with the sunflowers began as study, where i explained to my students steps of painting. But finally its became creative work.

"The worship" 76x102cm by @terminartist
Oil on canvas, 2025
This artwork was created in these time, when my struggle for my fatherhood just began. One year later, after hard court battles, i'll won my right to communicate with my little Lisa as an father with his daughter. But in these time i had chance to see her almost under the cover onece per a week in the temple. I knew which church they are visiting at the sunday. And i stood behind. I guess, Lisa felt that this man, who stood behind her is not random person. She looked at me very patiently and smiling. In her eyes and smile from the temple darkness i saw some light of hope. I desided to reflect this impression by oil colors at the canvas.☦️
