Bendigo’s food scene just got a little better 😉
One of our favourite restaurants has just received a @goodfoodau chef hat! A massive congratulations to the team at @terraebendigo for the incredible food and outstanding service they always produce, this recognition is well deserved. A special shout out also goes to Simon, who was a finalist for the Service Excellence Award.

Terrae is serving up modern European with fresh ingredients. Their seasonal menu celebrates the finest local and regional produce, including fresh ingredients from their own farm’s kitchen gardens and orchard. With pasta house-made daily, this is a must try when you visit.

Nestled into one of Bendigo’s original bank buildings, Terrae celebrates the heritage architecture and stories that come with the building. You can sip cocktails downstairs in the cellar and old bank vaults, or dine upstairs and see a bullet hole shot through the window during a bank robbery in the 1800s.

Last night at the @goodfoodau @theageaustralia Good Food Guide Awards, Terrae was awarded 1 hat!!! Fair to say we are all a little excited (and bleary eyed!) today!!
Huge congratulations to all of our team and a big thank you to our suppliers and guests who continue to support us. We love what we do…. And so glad that you do too!!

From orchard to plate.🍐 You can't get fresher than this - Through the seasons, the farm shapes the menu, and the menu, in turn, reflects what we grow and pick.

Every tree and every garden bed in the kitchen garden is there for a reason—planted to serve the Terrae kitchen through the seasons. It is tendered by people who understand both the garden and kitchen.

Twenty-five acres just outside Bendigo shape who we are and forms an integral part of Terrae.

Raised garden beds, citrus trees, flowers for the dining room, fresh eggs collected most mornings, and sheep grazing beyond the fence line. Under the careful stewardship of @‌michaelandrewharrington, the land evolves with the seasons, helping shape the ingredients that define each dish.

At Terrae Restaurant & Bar, pasta is made the traditional way, using a pasta extruder imported from Italy and with fresh ingredients harvested from our 25-acre farm and kitchen garden.

Under the direction of Culinary Director Tim Foster, Terrae's hatted kitchen (Australian Good Food Guide) creates seasonal pasta dishes that showcase the best of Central Victoria. From hand-crafted ravioli to pasta extruded fresh each day, every plate reflects seasonality and provenance, alongside authentic Italian techniques.

Located on View Street, Bendigo inside one of the oldest bank building, Terrae celebrates the region's produce in the heart of Australia's first UNESCO City of Gastronomy.
